The Feast

Dear Saints,

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast beginning in 1 Samuel - Chapter 7, This Ark that is toppling gods and being sent back to God's people, the one that Indiana Jones was looking for! This Ark where God lives, men were sacrificing their lives for nothing. Because Jesus said; “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20 (New International Version). That's the whole thing all we had to do for God is accept his gift of eternal life. There is no “Gospel Lite” according to Jesus; “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” - John 14:6 (King James Version). That's it one God one way! Pray for one and other, our Pastor's and keep your eyes on Jesus. If our Lord is willing I'll send and post the Feast tomorrow.

“Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice,”- Psalm 95:6-7

Mon, Aug 31, 09, 1 Samuel - Chapter 7, The ark removed to Kirjath-jearim. (1-4) The Israelites solemnly repent. (5,6) The Lord discomfits the Philistines. (7-12) They are subdued, Samuel judges Israel. (13-17).

This weekend we prayerfully continue our Feast beginning with; 1 Samuel 4 - 6. This is a good weekend Feast. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. " - Hosea 4:6. I am in no way saying we are on the wrong track, in fact we are on the right track because we are Feasting in God's Word; “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. ” - Romans 10:17 Lord willing I will send & post the feast again Monday.

Sat, August 29, 2009, 1 Samuel 5, Dagon is broken before the ark. (1-5) The Philistine smitten. (6-12).

Sun, August 30, 2009, 1 Samuel 6, - The Philistines consult how to send back the ark. (1-9) They bring it to Bethshemesh. (10-18) The people smitten for looking into the ark. (19-21).

The word of the Lord first revealed to Samuel. (1-10) God tells Samuel the destruction of Eli's house. (11-18) Samuel established to be a prophet. (19-21).

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast beginning in 1 Samuel - Chapter 1, Jesus is the only way to gain forgiveness and salvation; “Jesus said to him, " I AM THE WAY, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. ” - John14:6. As they used to tout in the early nineteen seventies; “God said it, I believe it and that settles it! “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward {is} with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” - Revelation 22:12

I Samuel (overview)

“In this book we have an account of Eli, and the wickedness of his sons; also of Samuel, his character and actions. Then of the advancement of Saul to be the king of Israel, and his ill behavior, until his death made way for David's succession to the throne, who was an eminent type of Christ. David's patience, modesty, constancy, persecution by open enemies and feigned friends, are a pattern and example to the church, and to every member of it. Dear Saints,

 
Today we prayerfully finish our Feast in Ruth - Chapter 4, and if I'm correct we gentiles through Boaz who stood up and took Ruth as a wife brought gentiles into the blood line of Jesus. Such a short book brings about a significant and important change to the blood line of Jesus. "Salmon begot Boaz, and Boaz begot Obed; Obed begot Jesse, and Jesse begot David ” - Ruth 4:21-22. If our Lord is willing I'll send and post the Feast tomorrow and remember I also accept prayerful. correction.

Sat, August 22, 2009, Ruth - Chapter 2, - Ruth gleans in the field of Boaz. (1-3) The kindness of Boaz to Ruth. (4-16) Ruth returns to her mother-in-law. (17-23).

Sun, August 23, 2009, Ruth - Chapter 3, - The directions given to Ruth by Naomi. (1-5) Boaz acknowledges the duty of a kinsman. (6-13) Ruth's return to her mother-in-law. (14-18).
