7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jud 12 l The Feast l August 28_2012 Judges 12 Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in Judges 11. We see a few of the judges who lead Israel come and die in today's Feast. First we see Jephthah supported by God even when men wouldn't help him. “2 And Jephthah said to them, “I and my people had a great dispute with the Ammonites, and when I called you, you did not save me from their hand. 3 And when I saw that you would not save me, I took my life in my hand and crossed over against the Ammonites, and the Lord gave them into my hand. Why then have you come up to me this day to fight against me?”” Judges 11:2-3, English Standard Version (ESV). Now if we accept the gift of salvation and follow our Lord can the world stand against us? I think not Jesus said that he will never give us a burden that we can't carry! He assures us his commands are not burdensome. “1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2 This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” 1 John 5:1-5 (ESV). When anyone tries to load you down with more than God asks don't accept it. Always check God's Word and prayerfully ask God for direction. Look to the bible for the Word of God not Pastors, men or women. “4 They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. 5 They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long,“ Matthew 23:3-5 (ESV). Keep your eyes on Jesus not men. God gave you everlasting life and he will guide you in your relationship with Him. “Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”” John 6:29 ESV. Let's keep the first thing first. That would be salvation through the blood of Jesus. Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jud 11 l The Feast l August 27_2012 Judges 11 Dear Saints, Welcome back I pray you all had a great weekend. Today we prayerfully Feast in Judges 11. We've looked at God's love, his patience, forgiveness, and the power of his Word. Do you know how powerful your word is? I don’t believe in saying;”God you promised this and you have to deliver it because I claim it!” Today we read where Jephthah's oath costs him his only child. “30 And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord and said, “If you will give the Ammonites into my hand, 31 then whatever comes out from the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the Ammonites shall be the Lord's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.”” Judges 10:15 - English Standard Version (ESV). Do you believe that there is power in your words saint? Your oath is just as powerful as Jephthah's. God puts so much stock in your word His Word tells you not to take an oath. “But above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.” James 5:12 (ESV). When asked if you solemnly swear, say “I'll affirm or yes”. There are many examples of how powerful your word is saint. This is a wonderful example of the power of a believers word;“Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.“ Matthew 18:18 (ESV). Before you pull the trigger! Judges 8-10

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jud 8-10 l The Feast l August 24-26_2012 Judges 8-10 Dear Saints, This weekend we prayerfully Feast in Judges 8-10. I pray that all of you will have a blessed weekend. There is a theme through Judges that show's us how loving God is. We see the Israelite people sinning and the returning to God for forgiveness again this weekend “15 And the people of Israel said to the Lord, “We have sinned; do to us whatever seems good to you. Only please deliver us this day.”” Judges 10:15English Standard Version (ESV). It makes me wonder if men ever learn. Wouldn't it be better if we loved God and blessed him in all of our ways? We need to take every decision we make to God in prayer. I think sometimes God laughs and sometimes he cries when he hears man’s plans. If we consult God before we make a decision and listen for his voice, we wouldn't sin in the first place. How much pain do we put Jesus through before we listen to God. “14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. ” 2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV). When do we really start to call on God before we pull the trigger? What can I do to resist sin? Do we have the way and the will to live Godly lives and love God? I think God gave us a hint. Do you remember what Jesus said about the most important commandment? “36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, (A)“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment.“ Matthew 22:36-38 (ESV). By now we all remember the rest of Jesus answer. Will we truly love and trust God before we pull the trigger? “[I Love the LORD] I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.” Psalm 116:1-2 ESV. That's it just call on our Lord first. 7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jud7 l The Feast l August 23_2012 Judges 7 Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in Judges 7. “God chose the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, a barley-cake to overthrow the tents of Midian, that the excellency of the power might be of God only. The gospel is a sword, not in the hand, but in the mouth: the sword of the Lord and of Gideon; of God and Jesus Christ, of Him that sits on the throne and the Lamb. The wicked are often led to avenge the cause of God upon each other, under the power of their delusions, and the fury of their passions. See also how God often makes the enemies of the church instruments to destroy one another; it is a pity that the church's friends should ever act like them.” Matthew Henry's Concise. “ 20 Then the three companies blew the trumpets and broke the jars. They held in their left hands the torches, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow. And they cried out, “A sword for the Lord and for Gideon!” 21 Every man stood in his place around the camp, and all the army ran. Did you notice that Gideon fully trusted God, enough to readily accept the reduction of his army to 300 soldiers? We can expect people to be so wise as to deem God's Word as foolishness. That's why we have God's Word to teach us that His ways are not the ways of the world. To show God's heart full of love for mankind. However if anyone rejects God's Word they become fools. “5 For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. Treasure in Jars of Clay 7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” 2 Corinthians 4:5-7(ESV). It is a good thing to trust in God, we have peace that surpasses that of the world. Though the world would deem what we believe to be foolishness. Notice that trusting God or not trusting in God appears to be foolish to adversaries. I however would rather trust in God's Word rather than that which the world believes. “1 The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good. 2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God..“Psalm 14:1-2 (ESV). Another thing I may want to ask myself is what offers more the world or God? I already know from whence my blessings flow. “1 When I thought, “My foot slips,” your steadfast love, O LORD, held me up. 7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jud 6 l The Feast l August 22_2012 Judges 6 Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in Judges 6. Israel is calling for a defender, God sends a prophet. “7 When the people of Israel cried out to the Lord on account of the Midianites, 8 the Lord sent a prophet to the people of Israel. And he said to them, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: I led you up from Egypt and brought you out of the house of slavery. 9 And I delivered you from the hand of the Egyptians and from the hand of all who oppressed you, and drove them out before you and gave you their land. 10 And I said to you, ‘I am the Lord your God; you shall not fear the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell.’ But you have not obeyed my voice.”” Judges 6:7-10 English Standard Version (ESV). I've heard people say God you promised this and you have to deliver it because I claim it! Where does the bible (God's Word) say “I'm granting you your every wish? When you ask our Lord for anything it is a request. It's not an order you can't always have it your way! Do we presume to be as wise as God, that we can command him? “22 Out of the north comes golden splendor; God is clothed with awesome majesty. 23 The Almighty—we cannot find him; he is great in power; justice and abundant righteousness he will not violate. 24 Therefore men fear him; he does not regard any who are wise in their own conceit.”” Job 37:22-24 (ESV). Saint I would caution you to never be so conceited as to think you know God's mind. He does love us. He alone knows what his perfect will is. If you ask him for anything ask if it is in his perfect will. He won't be the one giving you something that will violate his Father – Child relationship with you. Just remember God's will for you is perfect because he is perfect.
