What is not from the father? – 2 Sam. 10

8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 10
l The Feast l
2sam
Nov 11_2012 II Sam 10

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 10. David sends his messengers to Hanun, because his father dealt loyally with Israel. Hanun had David's messengers beards shaved and half their garments cut off, to shame them. The Ammonites no being scared of the Israelite army hired Syrians to defend them. God's people defeated the Syrians. 18And the Syrians fled before Israel, and David killed of the Syrians the men of 700 chariots, and 40,000 horsemen, and wounded Shobach the commander of their army, so that he died there. 19And when all the kings who were servants of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with Israel and became subject to them. So the Syrians were afraid to save the Ammonites anymore.” 2 Samuel 10:18-19, English Standard Version (ESV). David's army won the battles not because of their numbers nor their might, they won because they served and had faith in the only God. A nation that trust's in God will always be safe from the world.

We thank God for our salvation, we want his will to be done in our land, governments, communities and homes. This is why we should keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “[Do Not Love the World] Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.” 1 John 2:15-16 ESV. Pray that our leaders get the message to put our God first in every decision they make.

In whom we trust - 2 Sam 9

l The Feast l

8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 9

Nov 10 2012 II Sam 9

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 9. David out of loyalty to Jonathan and his father Saul, sends for Mephibosheth. And provides for Jonathan's son Mephibosheth, David vows to take care of him from this time on. Once again when enemies array themselves against David, God delivers his enemies into his hands; 15 But when the Syrians saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they gathered themselves together. 16 And Hadadezer sent and brought out the Syrians who were beyond the Euphrates. They came to Helam, with Shobach the commander of the army of Hadadezer at their head. 17 And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together and crossed the Jordan and came to Helam. The Syrians arrayed themselves against David and fought with him. 18 And the Syrians fled before Israel, and David killed of the Syrians the men of 700 chariots, and 40,000 horsemen, and wounded Shobach the commander of their army, so that he died there. 19 And when all the kings who were servants of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with Israel and became subject to them. So the Syrians were afraid to save the Ammonites anymore.” 2 Samuel 8:15-19 English Standard Version (ESV). Like David we as a nation, should align ourselves with God. Tuning from the sin of a few who refuse to honor our God. Then our nation offering to serve His purposes, would be healed, God would once again be our protector. As a Christian Nation we need to truly “trust in God”.

Devotional By Pastor Glen Aycock;

'DEVOTIONAL BY PASTOR GLEN AYCOCK- No 41

Scripture: "Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven."

Dear People I want to share a letter written by my personal pastor, Dr. Joe Taylor. I challenge you to live in the spirit of God and keep praying for revival.

By now, the "40 Days of Prayer" emphasis with other churches across our nation is formally concluded, but our need to pray has only just begun. Obviously, God has allowed the people of our country to elect their leaders. And for many there is a great sadness at the results.

If the election results tell us anything it is that our country is divided on values and faith. Traditional Christian values are in decline. We must do a better job being the salt and light that God has called us to be. Society has changed its mind on so many things that God has not.

When people pray and hope and the outcome is not what we expected, then we often ask,’ why?" Some conclude that "prayer didn't work," or that "God didn't hear." We often get discouraged and even depressed, and although these emotions are perfectly alright to feel, they also are prone to make us more vulnerable to temptation or to withdraw to a closed heart. If these are your thoughts please consider that God allows all of us to choose to follow him or not. We prove that every day. Also, let me assure you that your prayers were heard by God and that God is the one who "works” and prayer is the vehicle that "carries forth the will of our God." That is why he taught us to pray "Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven." I have felt encouraged at all the prayer across our land and am absolutely convinced that we are all better because of it. Progress has been made. I have also been encouraged at all the daily prayer devotions written by so many in our church. This has shown me how thoughtful and "God-focused" our membership is.
Our first task is to stay close to God and to continue to say no to sin and follow Him daily. Our second task is to share the love of God and the good news of the gospel to those God gives us opportunity. We must continue to pray for our leaders that they too will respond to the call of God. And because the new appointments (for life) of the U.S. Supreme Court will reflect the sitting administration, we must pray for the health and safety for all Supreme Court Justices and their desire to complete this term.
I was uplifted by Max Lucado's comments: In a letter published on his blog, author and pastor Max Lucado comforted believers: "Let others lose sleep over the election. Let others grow bitter from party or petty rivalries. Let others cast their hope with the people of the elephant or the donkey. Not followers of Jesus. We place our trust in the work of God. ... How many kings has he seen come and go? How many nations has he seen stand and fall? He is above them all. And he oversees them all. So, while others get anxious, we don't. Here is what we do: we pray."

And one more thought: no matter who is president, Jesus is still Lord! And He will always be. Forever and Ever, AMEN!

Please be in church this Sunday. God has put an important message on my heart, and your pastor needs your support.”
In His Love, Joe”

God you are our savior, our first love and our leader. We turn from the false god's like elephants and donkeys, made gods by men, in Jesus name. We will keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend. For to the snow he says, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the downpour, his mighty downpour.” Job 37:5-6 ESV. Please continue to pray that God's will is done in our nation, as it is in God's kingdom.

Philistines, Moabites, and David – 2 Sam. 8

8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 8
l The Feast l

2sam

Nov 9_2012 II Sam 8

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 8. David defeated the Philistine, the Moabites, and David also defeated Hadadezer the Syrians. The spoil is dedicated to the Lord. David's wisely appoints government officials, officers and priests. 15 So David reigned over all Israel. And David administered justice and equity to all his people. 16Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army, and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder, 17 and Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests, and Seraiah was secretary, 18 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and David's sons were priests.” 2 Samuel 8:15-18, English Standard Version (ESV). Look at the way David served his citizens here, let's pray that God will impress this kind of wisdom on our leaders.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CALLING - # 395; By Brother Robert Waters

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CALLING 11/09/12 # 395

Matthew 11:25-30-New International Version -(NIV)

Rest for the Weary
25 At that time Jesus said, "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. 26 Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure. 27 "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. 28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

The Lord Jesus has revealed Himself to you. In His word in the things you have for everything comes from Him. V 28-30 we all have problems, the Lord will take them to Himself so we can be free. Look to Him for all that you need. Walk with Him. The Lord has given us a way out of your problems.

Let all the people Rejoice and praise Him.

Read God’s word with Prayer. Read His word every chance you get.

This is inspired by the Holy Spirit. Praise God.

Your Brother In Christ
Robert Waters
God bless you all”

We thank God for our salvation, without Jesus our righteousness is like filthy rags. Keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. ““Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.” Isaiah 1:18 ESV. Keep sharing Jesus, there is no other way by which men can be saved.

And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”” Joshua 24:15

Whom do you serve? – 2 Sam 7

8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 7
l The Feast l

Nov 8_2012 II Sam 7

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 7. At rest in his home David considers how he should care for the ark of the covenant. God tells Nathan what to tell David concerning a home for the ark. God makes a covenant with David, concerning his descendents and the kingdom. David loves the Lord God and honors him with prayer and thanksgiving. 27 For you, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have made this revelation to your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house.’ Therefore your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to you. 28 And now, O Lord God, you are God, and your words are true, and you have promised this good thing to your servant. 29 Now therefore may it please you to bless the house of your servant, so that it may continue forever before you. For you, O Lord God, have spoken, and with your blessing shall the house of your servant be blessed forever.” ” 2 Samuel 7:27 English Standard Version (ESV). Like David we should approach our God offering to serve His purposes. Approach our loving God with praise and thanksgiving.

God you are our savior, our first love and our leader. We can endeavor to keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. ““And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”” Joshua 24:15 ESV. Let's pray that God's will is done and, our nation lines up on God's path.

As for me and my house? – 2nd Sam 6

8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 5
l The Feast l

Nov 7_2012 II Sam 6

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 5. David went with all the people that were with him, to remove the Ark from Kirjath-jearim. Uzzah smitten for touching the ark, this scared David he asked God, "How can the ark of the LORD ever come to me? This reminds us that we can't have it our way. Remember who follows and who leads. Obed-edom blessed. David brings the ark to Zion. Sometimes when we rejoice in God, others take offense. This doesn't mean we should ever quit following or praising our God! 21 And David said to Michal, "It was before the Lord, who chose me above your father and above all his house, to appoint me as prince over Israel, the people of the Lord—and I will make merry before the Lord. ” 2 Samuel 6:21English Standard Version (ESV). When people attack us for praising God or praying in public, they will pay a price. Michal suffers for her bad conduct; “23 Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.” 2 Samuel 6:23 ESV.

Pray for our nation;

13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place.” 2 Chronicles 7:13-15 ESV.

The election s in the US are over and we have some new and some incumbent servants in office. We need to pray for them and remember God is still our leader. As for us Saints let us keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “[Pray for All People] First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” 1 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV Let's pray that God's will is done and, our nation lines up on God's path.
