Jan 5_2013 1 Kings 11

Dear  Saints,

Today we prayerfully read in, 1 Kings 11.  Today we see proof that men’s hearts are continually wicked.  Solomon a man richly blessed by God turns his heart to false God’s. Solomon’s reign end’s after only forty years.   42 And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years. 43 And Solomon slept with his fathers and was buried in the city of David his father. And Rehoboam his son reigned in his place.  1 Kings 11:42-43.  English Standard Version (ESV).   We as children adopted into the family of God, should always guard against our hearts.  Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.” Isaiah 1:16-17 ESV.  Jesus died that we might have a more abundant life.  Always keeping the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Follow Jesus not your heart.  Your days will be filled with the joy of the Lord.

Dear  Saints,

Today we prayerfully read in, 1 Kings 10.  God gives Solomon wisdom, and people flock to see him in adoration of this Godly gift.  23 Thus King Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and in wisdom. 24 And the whole earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put into his mind.  1 Kings 10:23-24.  English Standard Version (ESV).   God gave all who accept it, the gift of salvation.  How we display this gift is important to God.  Just as King Solomon let his gift display his love of God, we need to humbly display our gift of salvation.  He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8 ESV.  If we humbly walk displaying our gifts from God people will flock to us to hear about our relationship with Jesus.  Humbly share your gift in love keeping the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  Just living a Godly life will be a witness of what Jesus has done for you.  Then people will gladly seek the gift we have found, not religion a relationship with Jesus.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS CALLING        01/04/13 # 451

1 Corinthians 2:14-16 (New International Version)

14 The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment: 16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

Sit down and ask the Holy Spirit to come into your life so you can understand what God wants you to do. For the Holy Spirit is your guide to understanding God’s word.

Let all the people Rejoice and praise Him.

Read God’s word with Prayer. Read His word every chance you get.

This is inspired by the Holy Spirit. Praise God.

Thus says the LORD, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19 ESV.

Dear  Saints,

Today we prayerfully read in, 1 Kings 9.  God warns Solomon, and his people might not be high-minded, but to continue to be God fearing.  Sometimes as congregations have been mightily blessed they tend to think that they have more liberties than those less blessed.  God is saying it would be better for Him to chasten them, than for them to go on with ease and prosperity in sin.  3 And the Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your plea, which you have made before me. I have consecrated this house that you have built, by putting my name there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time. 4 And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, and keeping my statutes and my rules,…  1 Kings 9:3-4.  English Standard Version (ESV).   God will bless us but we must still serve and praise Him.  He doesn’t want religious people nor should we turn our Church building into a club house, exclusive from those less blessed.  The way we please God is continuing to love Him, and share that love with as many as possible.  For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,” Titus 2:11-12 ESV.  We continue to serve God, as we keep the first thing first. That is the gift of God, salvation through the blood of our Lord Jesus.  We don’t think that we have the corner on God because he is blessing us.  The best religion is the ones that continue to love, praise and serve God, in Jesus precious name.

Eyes on the Finish Line!

As I believe we are living in the last days we should always remember how important it is to stay in the race.
Scripture Daniel 12:11-13 (NIV)

“11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. 13 “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.” Daniel 12:11-13 NIV

We must finish the race!

God Bless you,

Brother Mike
