When God Answers Us! September 16, 2013 – Psalms 42 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 42 - “The conflict in the soul of a believer.” - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 42.  The Psalmist calls out to God with his very soul! He has no doubt about God answering his prayer. “11 Why are you cast down, O my soul,     and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,     my salvation and my God.”   Psalms 42:11 - English Standard Version (ESV).   When we pray we need to examine our heart (See Luke 16:15) God does!  Jesus allows us to sincerely take our needs to God (See Mark 11:24) in prayer.  Whenever we turn to God in prayer we should expect an answer.  When God answers our prayers we need to give God all the glory!  “[ Wisdom from Above ] Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.”  James 3:13  ESV. Today while Jesus is calling!  He will not call you forever! Today is the day of salvation. God Is Not Willing? September 15, 2013 – Psalms 41 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 41 - “God's care for his people. (1-4) The treachery of David's enemies. (5-13) - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 41.  David realizes God will protect him when protection is needed.  He sings of God’s blessings everlasting.  “13 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,     from everlasting to everlasting! Amen and Amen.   Psalms 41:13 - English Standard Version (ESV).   How do you deal with those who would hurt or put you down (See Romans 12:19-21) saint?  There is no need to protect Jesus, Jesus is our protector.  If someone is attacking you or your faith in Jesus it is because their life is in upheaval and they are afraid. Pray for them!  If the opportunity arises ask them; “How can I pray for you?”  Let them see our God is a full of love and compassion.  God is not willing that any should perish! Of One Mind? September 14, 2013 – Psalms 40 Today’s Feast Psalms Chapter 40 - “Confidence for deliverance. (1-5) Christ's work of redemption. (6-10) Prayer for mercy and grace. (11-17)” - Matthew Henry Concise  Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 40.  David recognizes the frailty of men.  He extols the wonder and saving grace of God.  “16 But may all who seek you     rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation     say continually, “Great is the Lord!” 17 As for me, I am poor and needy,     but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer;     do not delay, O my God!””   Psalms 40:16-17 - English Standard Version (ESV).   We can say the same about God through Jesus.  Jesus is our savior our deliverer. (See John 1:1).  God is great and greatly to be praised.  We are of one mind when we praise and pray in the name of Jesus.  “[Christ's Example of Humility] So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.”  Philippians 2:1-2  ESV.
