Jan. 2,
2014 – Proverbs 4
Accepting
Our Father's Wise Instruction!
Do not
enter the path of the wicked, and do not associate ourselves with evil
doers.
Proverbs
4 “Exhortation to the study of wisdom. (1-13)
Cautions against bad company, Exhortation to faith and holiness. (14-27)” - Matthew Henry
Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we
prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Proverbs Chapter
4
Proverbs 4 prompts us to be seeking
wisdom and separate ourselves from sinful people. We are to trust God with all our heart and
stay separate from the world. Seek faith
and practice holiness. “26 Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be
sure. 27 Do not swerve to the right or
to the left; turn your foot away from evil.” Proverbs 4:26-27
(English
Standard Version) ESV.
?”
The question is do we separate ourselves from wicked people? The answer is absolutely (see
Proverbs
4:14-15)!
When this question was posed to a religious leader of the largest church
in the world he said; “Who am I to judge?” That was not a proper Christian response! Concerning evil doers Jesus said that
believers should Watch and beware (see
Matthew 16:6). Being aware of evil does not equate to judging evil doers.
“14 Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what
partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light
with darkness? 15 What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a
believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with
idols? For we are the temple of the living God;…” 2 Corinthians
6:14-16
ESV. Don’t be fooled into condoning sin or the
sinner! Jesus knows your heart and those
who condone sinners are lost along with the sinners
(see Romans
1:32). Be aware of the actions and evidence of sin in
those you come in contact with.
Are you ready to be a
winner? Is Jesus calling out to you?
Do you want to be sure of your
future? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

Jan. 1,
2014 – Proverbs 3
Trust In
The Lord With All Your Heart?
Do not let God’s
steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you.
Proverbs
3 “Exhortations to obedience and faith. (1-6)
To piety, and to improve afflictions. (7-12) To gain wisdom. (13-20) Guidance of
Wisdom. (21-26) The wicked and the upright. (27-35)” - Matthew Henry
Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we start
the New Year anticipating the blessings of 2014! We prayerfully continue our Feast in the book
of Proverbs
Chapter
3
Proverbs 3 reminds us to be obedient
to God and our faith. We are to trust
God with all our heart and stay separate from the world. It tells us how to get
wisdom and how to be guided by it. “34 Toward the scorners he is scornful, but
to the humble he gives favor.
35 The wise will inherit honor, but
fools get disgrace.” Proverbs 3:34-35
(English
Standard Version) ESV.
The lessons from Proverbs should be
written on our hearts. We need at all
times to be ready for the return of
Jesus (see
2 Peter 3:10). Jesus said that none of
us will know the the exact day and time Jesus will com but we know the season of
His return (see
Revelation 16:15) the season is on us so be strong and stay ready.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old
has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV.
Don’t be thinking that the coming of Jesus will be
delayed (see Matthew
22) again I say to you
“Be Ready!” do not be caught off guard.
Are you ready for the
return of Jesus? Do you want to be
sure? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

Seeking Wisdom In The New Year?

Dec. 31,
2013 – Proverbs 2
What’s
The Value of Wisdom?
You will understand the
fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
Proverbs
2 “Promises to those who seek wisdom. (1-9)
The advantages of wisdom. (10-22)” -
Matthew Henry Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we thank
God for the blessings of 2013 and look forward to serving Jesus in the New
Year! We prayerfully continue our Feast
in the book of Proverbs
Chapter
2
Proverbs 2 Points out the values and
promises awaiting the believer who seeks wisdom. “21 For the upright will inhabit the land, and those with integrity
will remain in it, 22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the
treacherous will be rooted out of it” Proverbs 2:21-22
(English
Standard Version) ESV.
We should prefer the wisdom,
understanding and fear of God over Gold and Silver (see
Proverbs 2:4-5). Jesus said; “I am
sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.” Therefor we must seek the wisdom of God to
accomplish our mission for Jesus. God’s
Word tells us how to prepare for spiritual warfare (see Ephesians 6:10-18).
“18 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of
old. 19 Behold, I am doing a new thing;
now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the
desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19
ESV. Let’s join Jesus in bringing forth this new thing. Jesus has a purpose for you; seek God’s wisdom
and Jesus’ righteousness (see Matthew
6:33). The Holy
Spirit will give you what you need when you need it (see John 14:26). Ask God for wisdom; it comes with purpose and
promise (see James 3:17).
Is Jesus calling to
you? Do you want to answer before God
stops calling? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

What Is The Beginning Of Knowledge?

Dec. 30,
2013– Proverbs 1
What’s
The Beginning Of Knowledge?
If we turn at God’s
reproof, He will pour out His Holy Spirit to you.
Proverbs an overview;
“The subject of this book may be thus stated by an
enlargement on the opening verses. 1. The Proverbs of Solomon, the son of David,
king of Israel. 2. Which treat of the knowledge of wisdom, of piety towards God,
of instruction and moral discipline, of the understanding wise and prudent
counsels. 3. Which treat of the attainment of instruction in wisdom, which
wisdom is to be shown in the conduct of life, and consists in righteousness with
regard to our fellow-creatures. 4. Which treat of the giving to the simple
sagacity to discover what is right, by supplying them with just principles, and
correct views of virtue and vice; and to the young man knowledge, so that he
need not err through ignorance; and discretion, so that by pondering well these
precepts, he may not err through obstinacy. Take the proverbs of other nations,
and we shall find great numbers founded upon selfishness, cunning, pride,
injustice, national contempt, and animosities. The principles of the Proverbs of
Solomon are piety, charity, justice, benevolence, and true prudence. Their
universal purity proves that they are the word of God.” - Matthew Henry
Concise
Proverbs
1 “The use of the Proverbs. (1-6)
Exhortations to fear God and obey parents. (7-9) To avoid the enticings of
sinners. (10-19) The address of Wisdom to sinners. (20-33)” - Matthew Henry
Concise
Dear
Saints,
Today we
prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Proverbs Chapter
1
The proverbs of Solomon, begins by
pointing out the wisdom of fearing God. Avoid the temptations of sinners because sin
takes away the life of the trespasser. Wisdom
cries out a warning against scoffers and the fools dislike of knowledge. “32 For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the
complacency of fools destroys them; 33 but whoever listens to me will dwell
secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.” Proverbs 1:32-33
(English
Standard Version) ESV.
Proverbs shouts out the wisdom in
aligning our life with God’s precious gift of salvation (see
John 3:16-18). In Jesus we will find
comfort and rest. “33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.
In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the
world.” John 16:33 ESV.
Today is the day of salvation there is still work to be
done. Every attempt we make to share the
love of God has the potential to bring joy to the angels in heaven (see Luke
15:10)!
The potential for bringing new believers to join in the
harvest.
The fear of the Lord is
the beginning of knowledge! Hallelujah!
Do you hear Jesus
calling to you? Do you want to know how
to answer him? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?

Dec. 29,
2013– 2 Thessalonians
3
We Are
Warned Against Idleness!
2 Thessalonians
3 “The apostle expresses confidence in the
Thessalonians, and prays for them. (1-5) He charges them to withdraw from
disorderly walkers, particularly from the lazy and busybodies. (6-15) And
concludes with a prayer for them, and a greeting. (16-18)” - Matthew Henry
Concise
Dear
Saints,
In the third chapter Paul requests
prayer and warns against lazy busy bodies.
He closes with this benediction; “16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times
in every way. The Lord be with you all.
17 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. This is the sign of
genuineness in every letter of mine; it is the way I write. 18 The grace of our
Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16-18
(English
Standard Version) ESV. Idle busy bodies
bring shame on the Word of God as well as their selves (see Matthew 12:36-37). Jesus himself gave us a
work plan for the Saints (see
Matthew 28:16-20) today. “1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also
in me. 2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have
told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may
be also.” Matthew 11:28 ESV.
Remember
your faith will be accompanied with action (see
James 2:20). I can assure you faith without works is dead.
Let the Word of God direct us in all we
do and say thusly honoring Jesus until He comes for
us.
Is Jesus calling to
you? Do you want to know God’s
love? Do you want to find true
happiness, peace and purpose in your life?
