Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hosea Chapter 13; “The abuse of God's favour leads to punishment. (1-8) A promise of God's mercy. (9-16) and Chapter 14; An exhortation to repentance. (1-3) Blessings promised, showing the rich comforts of the gospel. (4-8) The just and the wicked. (9) - Matthew Henry Concise
Because they made images, and idols of silver, (Hosea 13:1-8) God’s people will reap the consequences of infidelity.  Because Israel didn’t turn to God for help  (Hosea 13:9-16) they will fall  by the sword.   Jehovah urges Israel to turn from their sins and idols (Hosea 14:1-3) to the love and compassion of their God.   If they repent and turn to God (Hosea 14:4-8) God’s anger will be turned from them; “9 Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them; for the ways of the LORD are right, and the upright walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.Hosea 14:9 English Standard Versions (ESV). The man that knows Jesus will (see John 8:47) listen to and trusts the word of God!  Those who seek salvation in Jesus are born again to a living hope; 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1 Peter 1:3 ESV.  We are not saved by our work (see Titus 3:5) we are saved by God’s mercy?  Trusting God’s love and accepting His gift (see John 3:16) will bring us to an abundant life everlasting.

“4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant”  1 Corinthians 13:4

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hosea Chapter 11; “God's regard for Israel; their ingratitude. (1-7) The Divine mercy yet in store. (8-12) and Chapter 12; Judah and Israel reminded of the Divine favours. (1-6) The provocations of Israel. (7-14) - Matthew Henry Concise
God loved the nation of Israel (Hosea 11:1-7) but the more he blessed them the farther they strayed from God.  Because God is God and not a man (Hosea 11:8-12) He will not destroy the house of Israel.  The Lord brings charges against Israel and Judah (Hosea 12:1-6) so they will return to the love and justice of their father God.   Because of their sin and wicked ways (Hosea 12:7-14) God will return His people to poverty; “14 Ephraim has given bitter provocation; so his Lord will leave his bloodguilt on him and will repay him for his disgraceful deeds.Hosea 12:14 English Standard Versions (ESV). It is a foolish thing a man does (see Luke 12:19-20) when he trusts in the work of his own hands; 24 The partner of a thief hates his own life; he hears the curse, but discloses nothing. 25 The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is safe. Proverbs 29:24-25 ESV.  Who is it you are trusting in (see Matthew 6:24) the world or Jesus?  Trusting God’s love and accepting His gift  (see John 3:16) will bring us to an abundant life everlasting.

The Folly Of Idolatry

“22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,”  Galatians 5:22
clip_image004
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Hosea Chapter 10; “The idolatry of Israel. (1-8) They are exhorted to repentance. (9-15) - Matthew Henry Concise
While Israel is producing much fruit they are worshipping false gods (Hosea 10:1-8) because they neglected God and chased idols they will produce bad fruit.  Because God is not willing that anyone should perish (Hosea 10:9-15) God in His Mercy will chastise them so that they will return to their Lord; “15 Thus it shall be done to you, O Bethel, because of your great evil. At dawn the king of Israel shall be utterly cut off.Hosea 10:15  English Standard Versions (ESV). We know that God is not willing that any should perish (see 2 Peter 3:9) no matter how we feel about them or they feel about us, we should do our very best to share God’s love with them; 11 "Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:11-12  ESV.  Our message is always the same; Jesus has already paid the full price for our sins, (see John 3:16) all they need to do is accept God’s gift of life everlasting!  God never changes in that he only wants the best for every person in the world (see Isaiah 44:9) He  doesn’t want us to be of the world.
Today, now is the day of your salvation Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit anything (see Revelation 3:20) Jesus is at knocking at your door this minute.  Do you hear Jesus calling you?  Will you answer Him today? Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link; admenu.com/calling.htm
