Sin Ruins Everything!

Today’s Feast

Dec. 28, 2015 – II Samuel 14

Sin Ruins Everything!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 14; “Joab procures Absalom's recall. (1-20) Absalom recalled. (21-24) His personal beauty. (25-27) He is admitted to his father's presence. (28-33) ” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Joab had a wise widow act as a mourner to procure Absalom’s king David’s son to return to Jerusalem. Absalom recalled is by his father but not allowed to be in David’s house. Absalom was a very handsome man and therefor his daughter Tamar was a beautiful woman. Absalom used treachery against Joab (he burned his crops) in order to gain admittance to his father’s presence. “32 Absalom answered Joab, “Behold, I sent word to you, ‘Come here, that I may send you to the king, to ask, “Why have I come from Gusher? It would be better for me to be there still.” Now therefore let me go into the presence of the king, and if there is guilt in me, let him put me to death.’” 33 Then Joab went to the king and told him, and he summoned Absalom. So he came to the king and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king, and the king kissed Absalom2 Samuel 14:32-33, ESV. While Christ paid the price for our sin, never forget the high price he paid. If you sin on purpose or accident, turn from sin and ask God forgiveness, he will restore you to your loved ones just as he did Absalom. While sin separates us from God remember it also ruins any personal relationships with friends and family. We should endeavor to keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “Trouble and anguish have found me out, but your commandments are my delight.Psalm 119:143, ESV.  While sin can be the ruin of our lives, God can and will restore order and love. Through Jesus on his terms because there is no other name by which we can be saved.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information;  admenu.com/calling.htm .

THE NATURE OF SIN!

Today’s Feast

Dec. 27, 2015 – II Samuel 13

THE NATURE OF SIN!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, Psalm 103:1-2 , English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 13; “Ammon's violence to his sister. (1-20) Absalom murders his brother Ammon. (21-29) David's grief, Absalom flees to Geshur. (30-39)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David still pays for his sin being too easy on his children. David’s son Amnon was infatuated with his sister and he raped her. After that he hated his sister. His brother Absalom spoiled by David, living in sin, murders his brother Amnon. David’s grief multiplies because he allows his children live in sin. His son Absalom flees to Geshur. “37 But Absalom fled and went to Talmai the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son day after day. 38 So Absalom fled and went to Geshur, and was there three years. 39 And the spirit of the king longed to go out to Absalom, because he was comforted about Amnon, since he was dead.2 Samuel 13:37-39, ESV. The nature of sin causes us to hate the people we sin against, think about Amnon how he loved his sister until he sinned against her “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit,” 1 Peter 3:18, ESV. Pray for each other; be quick to turn from sin and always in any situation turn to God. Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
We thank God for the gift of salvation; we should resist this cancer called sin, drawing on our faith in God for the strength to avoid sin. This is why we should keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,Colossians 1:9, ESV. Keep praying for each other, salvation for every man and that God’s will is done on Earth.
If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Ask God For Forgiveness!

Today’s Feast

Dec. 26, 2015 – II Samuel 12

Ask God For Forgiveness!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said, “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.” Luke 2:28-32, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 12; “Nathan's parable-David confesses his sin. (1-14) The birth of Solomon. (15-25) David's severity to the Ammonites.(26-31)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Nathan’s describes David’s sin in a parable. David confessed his sin and asked for forgiveness. God punished him by taking the child Bathsheba bore him. Then God forgives David and Solomon is born by Bathsheba. David back in God’s grace, defeats the Ammonites. “29 So David gathered all the people together and went to Rabbah and fought against it and took it. 30 And he took the crown of their king from his head. The weight of it was a talent of gold and in it was a precious stone, and it was placed on David’s head. And he brought out the spoil of the city, a very great amount. 31 And he brought out the people who were in it and set them to labor with saws and iron picks and iron axes and made them toil at the brick kilns. And thus he did to all the cities of the Ammonites. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.2 Samuel 12:29-31, ESV. Just as David’s sin put a wall between him and God, so does our sin. David paid dearly for the sin and we will also pay when we sin. The point is when we sin don’t blame anyone else or God. If you turn from sin and ask God forgiveness, he will heal you from the sin just as he did David. “9 And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent;Luke 11:9-11, ESV. Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Christmas With a Capital “C” 2015!

Today’s Feast

Dec. 25, 2015 – II Samuel 11

Christmas With a Capital “C” 2015!

Today in our Christian nation we chose to celebrate Christmas! That is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus that we choose to observe.  Praying for peace and goodwill to all people!  Thanking God for sending Jesus to set us who believe in God’s only Son free. – Amen!

For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 11; “David's adultery. (1-5) He tries to conceal his crime. (6-13) Uriah murdered. (14-27)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David looks out on his kingdom with worldly eyes, this leads to the sin of adultery. He tries to conceal his sin even trying to make a fool of Uriah to cover his crime. When that fails David has Uriah murdered. “26 When the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she lamented over her husband. 27 And when the mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.2 Samuel 11:26-27, ESV. David’s sin pulled him away from God. As we saw in this chapter a glimpse of the problems living in sin can cause. I call sin a spiritual cancer and there is no hope without Jesus.
