Today’s Feast

Jan. 05, 2016 – II Samuel 22

Tribulation, Triumph - Every Day!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause. Isaiah 1:16-17, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 22; “David's psalm of thanksgiving. - This chapter is a psalm of praise; we find it afterwards nearly as ( Psalms 18 ) . They that trust God in the way of duty, shall find him a present help in their greatest dangers: David did so. Remarkable preservations should be particularly mentioned in our praises...” - Matthew Henry Concise.

King David said; “50 “For this I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations, and sing praises to your name. 51 Great salvations he brings to his king, and shows steadfast love to his anointed, to David and his offspring forever.”2 Samuel 22:50-51, ESV. David knowing who his deliverer is called on the Lord of his salvation. “Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the LORD is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.” Psalm 100:4-5, ESV. Blessing God every day in tribulation or triumph with Thanksgiving, allows our Lord to continue blessing us.  Always keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.   If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information;  admenu.com/calling.htm .

Thanksgiving Every Day!

Today’s Feast

Jan. 04, 2016 – II Samuel 21

Thanksgiving Every Day!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 21; “The Gibeonites avenged. (1-9) Rizpah's care for the bodies of Saul's descendants. (10-14) Battles with the Philistines. (15-22)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

King David allows for the Gibeonites to be avenged. David gives the bones of Saul and Jonathan into Rizpah’s care. The battles with the Philistines continue. God blesses David and his descendants; “22 These four were descended from the giants in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.2 Samuel 21:22, English Standard Version (ESV). God love’s David, because always David turned to and trusted God. David’s faith was also on his descendants. With all his problems and sin king David had much to be giving God thanks for. Make sure that those around you know to whom you’re giving thanks. “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.Colossians 3:15, ESV. Bless God in Thanksgiving every day; our Lord richly blesses you every say.  Always keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.   If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Good To Be A Man Forgiven!

Today’s Feast

Jan. 03, 2016 – II Samuel 20

Good To Be A Man Forgiven!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, Titus 2:11-12, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 20; “Sheba's rebellion. (1-3) Amasa slain by Joab. (4-13) Sheba takes refuge in Abel. (14-22) David's officers. (23-26)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David suffers one trial after another, in today’s scripture it is Sheba’s rebellion. Joab killed Amasa, more for personal vengeance than anything else. Sheba’s head was delivered to Joab, by a wise citizen of Abel. David’s officers; “23 Now Joab was in command of all the army of Israel; and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was in command of the Cherethites and the Pelethites; 24 and Adoram was in charge of the forced labor; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was the recorder; 25 and Sheva was secretary; and Zadok and Abiathar were priests; 26 and Ira the Jairite was also David’s priest. 2 Samuel 20:23-26, ESV. God loved David, yet his sin seemed to continue, causing much mayhem. God said that David was a man after His own heart, but the sin was still like cancer. It’s good to be a man and better to be forgiven. Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “4 I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, 5 that in every way you were enriched in him in allspeech and all knowledge—1 Corinthians 1:4-5, ESV If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Approach Our Lord With?

Today’s Feast

Jan. 02, 2016 – II Samuel 19

Approach Our Lord With?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel 2 Samuel 19; “Joab causes David to cease mourning. (1-8) David returns to Jordan. (9-15) He pardons Shimei. (16-23)Mephibosheth excused. (24-30) David's parting with Barzillai. (31-39) Israel quarrels with Judah. (40-43)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David is at the gate in mourning when Joab causes David to cease mourning. David returns to Jordan not to take Israel by force, but by invitation of God’s people. Like a model for Jesus he forgives his enemy, Shimei and he excuses Mephibosheth. David’s parting with Barzillai is accompanied with a generous offer. Barzillai graciously turns the king’s offer down because of his age. Israel quarrels with Judah. “41 Then all the men of Israel came to the king and said to the king, “Why have our brothers the men of Judah stolen you away and brought the king and his household over the Jordan, and all David’s men with him?” 42 All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is our close relative. Why then are you angry over this matter? Have we eaten at all at the king’s expense? Or has he given us any gift?” 43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, “We have ten shares in the king, and in David also we have more than you. Why then did you despise us? Were we not the first to speak of bringing back our king?” But the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.2 Samuel 19:41-43, ESV. It is far better to forgive those who have offended you than to provoke them to anger. Didn’t Jesus teach us when he said;”…and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. …For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you”. Follow David’s example and Jesus Word by forgiving your enemies and those who are indebted to you. Continue keeping the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “[Let Us Sing Songs of Praise] Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!Psalm 95:1-2, ESV. Approach our Lord with praise and thanksgiving. Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
