Feb 6, 2013 – 2 Kings 21

Dear  Saints,

Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 21.  Manasseh did what was wicked in the eyes of God. Because Manasseh king of Judah committed abominations Judah is spoiled by their enemies. The wicked reign and death of Amon; “21 He walked in all the way in which his father walked and served the idols that his father served and worshiped them. 22 He abandoned the Lord, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the Lord. 23 And the servants of Amon conspired against him and put the king to death in his house.  “2nd Kings 21:21-23 English – Standard Version (ESV).   I don’t believe we need to judge people. We need to simply point out that a Godly life is far superior to a wicked life.  Doesn’t everyone want the best for their families? “Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.” Proverbs 21:21 ESV. Psalm 18:1-2 ESV.  Let your lights shine Saints!  Whatever you do, wherever you go keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Keep your eyes on Jesus, keep your treasure in heaven.

Tue, Feb 05, 2013, 2nd Kings 20

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our feast in 2nd Kings 20; We thank Jesus, for keeping us going, Thank Jesus, our God is an awesome God. Is there any other God that restore a man’s life, rescue us from hell? No?  We may not fulfill the promises we have uttered to God.  Still he has compassion on us. “8 And Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “What shall be the sign that the Lord will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of the Lord on the third day?” 9 And Isaiah said, “This shall be the sign to you from the Lord, that the Lord will do the thing that he has promised: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?” 10 And Hezekiah answered, “It is an easy thing for the shadow to lengthen ten steps. Rather let the shadow go back ten steps.” 11 And Isaiah the prophet called to the Lord, and he brought the shadow back ten steps, by which it had gone down on the steps of Ahaz." 2nd Kings 20:8-11

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it.” Matthew 16:25 HCSB

Your eyes on and faith in Jesus!  – 2 Kings 19

Feb 4, 2013 - 2 Kings 19

Dear  Saints,

Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 19.  Hezekiah realizes that God has been disrespected; he calls on God, and receives a promise of peace. Sennacherib sends a letter to Hezekiah saying do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you. Sennacherib’s fall is prophesied because he raged against God and his people.  The Assyrian army is destroyed, and Sennacherib slain; “35 And that night the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies. 36 Then Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went home and lived at Nineveh. 37 And as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer, his sons, struck him down with the sword and escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place. “2nd Kings 19:35-37 English - Standard Version (ESV).   Look at the contrast between these two kings.   Sennacherib raged against God and his life was taken.   Hezekiah called out to God in faith and he was grated peace by God.  “[The Lord Is My Rock and My Fortress] [To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord, who addressed the words of this song to the Lord on the day when the Lord rescued him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said:] I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:1-2 ESV.  God never changes Saints, never leave your position of faith, and call in the name of Jesus for what you may need.  Jesus said he will never forsake us, let’s keep the first thing first!  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Keep your eyes and your faith in and on Jesus.
