Does one mind = Joy?  – 1 Chronicles 12        Feb 22, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 12 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 12.   All these people came to Hebron to make David king; “38 All these, men of war, arrayed in battle order, came to Hebron with a whole heart to make David king over all Israel. Likewise, all the rest of Israel were of a single mind to make David king. 39 And they were there with David for three days, eating and drinking, for their brothers had made preparation for them. 40 And also their relatives, from as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, came bringing food on donkeys and on camels and on mules and on oxen, abundant provisions of flour, cakes of figs, clusters of raisins, and wine and oil, oxen and sheep, for there was joy in Israel.”1 Chronicles 12:13-14, English Standard Version (ESV).   All these people came together with one purpose and that is why for there was joy in Israel.  “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 1 John 4:18 ESV” Romans 13:9-10 ESV.  Saints if we could all come together in love and purpose there will be joy among God’s people.  We will keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  If we can leave our own agenda out of our prayers and pray together in one mind asking for God’s will to be done.  If we can all stop gossiping and making fun of our leaders, whether in family, at work, in church or government.  If we can pray together asking that God’s will be done on earth as in heaven.  Then there will be Joy amongst God’s people! To God the glory!  – 1 Chronicles 11        Feb 21, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 11 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 11.   We are reading about King David his mighty skill as a warrior. The sharp and resourceful men who served in his army. King David didn’t take credit for his success or give the credit to the men who served when all odds were against them. David praised God for delivering Him and his people.  We see David reward the brave men as such as they were;   “24 These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada and won a name beside the three mighty men. 25 He was renowned among the thirty, but he did not attain to the three. And David set him over his bodyguard.”1 Chronicles 11:13-14, English Standard Version (ESV).   Remember when young David went up against Goliath?  He was sure that the giant would be delivered into his hands, because God had previously delivered him against the odds.  Because of his faith god did deliver his enemies into his arms.  David was always faithful to give the credit to God.  “For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans 13:9-10 ESV.  If we keep our eyes and mind on God we will fulfill God’s commandments.  We can keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Because Jesus is our savior we can always give God the glory.  We can love those around us by sharing Jesus and his gift of salvation. Whom to consult? – 1 Chronicles 10       Feb 20, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 10 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 10.   King Saul was blessed by our God.  We see here that he departed from God.  He was seeking conformation from other sources.   “13 So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance. 14 He did not seek guidance from the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.”1 Chronicles 10:13-14, English Standard Version (ESV).  The Saints that love God with all their heart wouldn’t even consult a comic book astrologist.  If we need anything including information about where our life is going we seek God in prayer.  “Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends.” Proverbs 17:9 ESV.  If we turn to God to keep us, we don’t need gossip. Let’s keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Trust God for direction, and follow His precepts for correction. In God we trust and seek direction. A place a purpose! – 1 Chronicles 9        Feb 18, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 9 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 9.  Praise God!   As we read God’s word notice that these genealogies, not only gives the names but also their location and purpose.     “1 So all Israel was recorded in genealogies, and these are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel. And Judah was taken into exile in Babylon because of their breach of faith. 2 Now the first to dwell again in their possessions in their cities were Israel, the priests, the Levites, and the temple servants. 3 And some of the people of Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh lived in Jerusalem:”1 Chronicles 9:1-3, English Standard Version (ESV).  I firmly believe that God has a purpose for every person in the Church. I know this he didn’t save us to fill pews on Sunday and Wednesday.  Don’t fret if you don’t know what your calling is yet.  Get to know Jesus in Prayer, Praise and Reading the Holy Bible.    “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.” 1 John 4:11-12 ESV.  Part of knowing God is assembly in God’s love with the Church. When we join together in prayer praise and worship God’s love will be perfected in us. Always keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Trust our Savior and allow the Holy Spirit to perfect God’s love in us. Continue to seek God and you’ll find your place and purpose. Posted 2/19/2013 God Speaking To Our Hearts Today –Devotional thought by Pastor Glen Aycock SCRIPTURE: ROMANS 5: Even those who didn’t sin precisely as Adam did by disobeying a specific command of God still had to experience this termination of life, this separation from God. But Adam, who got us into this, also points ahead to the One who will get us out of it. 15  Yet the rescuing gift is not exactly parallel to the death-dealing sin. If one man’s sin put crowds of people at the dead-end abyss of separation from God, just think what God’s gift poured through one man, Jesus Christ, will do! 16  There’s no comparison between that death-dealing sin and this generous, life-giving gift. The verdict on that one sin was the death sentence; the verdict on the many sins that followed was this wonderful life sentence. 17  If death got the upper hand through one man’s wrongdoing, can you imagine the breathtaking recovery life makes, sovereign life, in those who grasp with both hands this wildly extravagant life-gift, this grand setting-everything-right, that the one man Jesus Christ provides? 18  Here it is in a nutshell: Just as one person did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with sin and death, another person did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting us out of trouble, he got us into life! 19  One man said no to God and put many people in the wrong; one man said yes to God and put many in the right. 20  All that passing laws against sin did was produce more lawbreakers. But sin didn’t, and doesn’t, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it’s sin versus grace, grace wins hands down. 21  All sin can do is threaten us with death, and that’s the end of it. Grace, because God is putting everything together again through the Messiah, invites us into life—a life that goes on and on and on, world without end. COMMENTS What a tragedy we read about in the Garden where man traded God’s will for his (Adams) will. The broken relationship was costly and a relationship lost with God because of the sin of disobedience. Can we grasp how much emotional pain Adam was going through when he was driven out of the Garden of Eden? I picture him broken hearted, angry at himself, feeling stupid because it was a simple matter to say no. They looked forward to a life of toil and disappointment and death . However how wonderful the Grace of God is, (grace=unmerited favor) God made an opportunity for man’s reconciliation through Jesus even before man was ready to repent. Because Jesus said yes to God and died for us on the cross, which paid the debt for our sins, we have abundant life without end. Have you accepted His gift of life? I pray if not that you will ask Jesus into your heart today. Justified by Jesus! – 1 Chronicles 8        Feb 18, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 8 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 8.  Am I the only one who has trouble pronouncing some of these names?  No matter how we pronounce them know this; God knows them, and each of  their descendants.     “39 The sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third. 40 The sons of Ulam were men who were mighty warriors, bowmen, having many sons and grandsons, 150. All these were Benjaminites.”1 Chronicles 8:39-40, English Standard Version (ESV).  Matthew Henry said; “… Many great and mighty nations then were in being upon earth, and many illustrious men, whose names are now wholly forgotten; while the names of multitudes of the Israel of God are here kept in everlasting remembrance.
