Today’s Feast Let Us Bless Our Lord! Oct. 9, 2013 – Psalms 67 Psalms Chapter 67 - “A prayer for the enlargement of Christ's kingdom.”  - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 67. David’s prayer is for God to be blessed because God’s kingdom is blessed.   “6 The earth has yielded its increase;     God, our God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us;     let all the ends of the earth fear him!”   Psalm 67:6-7 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Why is David praying for God to be blessed? I’m sure in part it was because he took a vow to bless God; “1 I will bless the Lord at all times;     his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1 ESV. Today’s Feast Our God Is Awesome! Oct. 8, 2013 – Psalms 66 Psalms Chapter 66 - “Praise for God's sovereign power in the creation. (1-7) For his favour to his church. (8-12) And the psalmist's praise for his experience of God's goodness. (13-20)”  - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 66 David’s psalm praising our awesome God and His blessings!   “20 Blessed be God,     because he has not rejected my prayer     or removed his steadfast love from me!”   Psalm 66:20 - English Standard Version (ESV).  When you pray in Jesus’ name remember you are praying to the same awesome God that King David prayed to. “1 Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised     in the city of our God! His holy mountain,” Psalm 48:1 ESV. There is no other name than Jesus by which mankind can be saved.  “11 I, I am the Lord,     and besides me there is no savior. 12 I declared and saved and proclaimed,     when there was no strange god among you;     and you are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and I am God.” Isaiah 43:11-12 ESV.  It is up to you and I, to share our awesome God with people everywhere. Today’s Feast Can I Be Happy For You? Oct. 7, 2013 – Psalms 65 Psalms Chapter 65 - “God is to be praised in the kingdom of grace. (1-5) In the kingdom of providence. (6-13)”  - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 65 David’s psalm praising God and making a bold statement saying that he is content with God’s blessings.   “4 Blessed is the one you choose and bring near,     to dwell in your courts! We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house,     the holiness of your temple!”   Psalm 65:4 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Like David Paul made the statement that said; he has learned to be  content wherever God’s work put him; “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.”  Philippians 4:11 ESV. What Do You Seek?

Today’s Feast What Do We Seek? Oct. 6, 2013 – Psalms 63-64 Psalms Chapter 63 - “David's desire toward God. (1,2) His satisfaction in God. (3-6) His dependence upon God, and assurance of safety. (7-11)”  - Matthew Henry Concise Chapter 64 - “Prayer for deliverance. (1-6) The destruction of the wicked, encouragement to the righteous. (7-10)” - Matthew Henry Concise   Return to Admenu Home Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading both Psalms 63 and Psalms 64 David was praising God as he drew near to God, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. In chapter 64 David seeks God’s protection.   “3 Because your steadfast love is better than life,     my lips will praise you. 4 So I will bless you as long as I live;     in your name I will lift up my hands.   Psalm 63:11-12 - English Standard Version (ESV).  David continues to seek God’s protection here in the 64th psalm; “10 Let the righteous one rejoice in the Lord     and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult!”  Psalm 64-8 ESV. The righteous will continue to seek the loving arms of Jesus. “4 Trust in the Lord forever,     for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.” Isaiah 26:4 ESV.  Today while Jesus is calling!  He will not call forever.
