Today's Feast
Giving
God The Glory?
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. W e will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“1
I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From
where does my help come?
2
My help comes from the Lord,
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue
the Feast reading Joshua, Chapter
7;
“The
Israelites smitten at Ai. (1-5)
Joshua's humiliation and prayer. (6-9)
God instructs Joshua what to do. (10-15)
Achan is detected, He is destroyed. (16-26)”
-
Matthew
Henry Concise.
Be
careful to continue to give God all the
glory.
Don’t take God’s glory or property for your own gain as you
serve Him. We see that God gave His people victory over Jericho.
However as we read today we see Achan took spoils from that which
belonged to God. God is displeased with Achan to the extent that
some of Achan’s
fellow soldiers died in the next campaign. Now
Joshua
doesn’t understand why God would turn His back on the Israelite
army. “10
The Lord said to Joshua, “Get up! Why have you fallen on your
face? 11 Israel has sinned; they have transgressed my covenant
that I commanded them; they have taken some of the devoted things;
they have stolen and lied and put them among their own belongings.
12 Therefore the people of Israel cannot stand before their
enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they
have become devoted for destruction. I will be with you no more,
unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.”
Joshua
7:10-12,
ESV. As we serve our Lord give Him the Glory for he alone is
worthy. As we serve God in love and faith allow him to reward each
of us. “[
Choose Whom You Will Serve ] “14
“Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in
faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond
the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord.”
Joshua
24:14,
ESV. We are reading God’s word our faith is producing works. He
is worthy of our praise and our love. Serve him faithfully and
allow Him to reward you. “24
Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart.
For consider what great things he has done for you.“
1
Samuel 12:24,
ESV. Saint, ask yourself if you’re willing to enter into a
personal relationship with God? Are
you
able
to serve
God on his terms? Share His gifts giving Him all that is due to
Him. ““You
are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they
may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in
heaven.”
Matthew
5:14-16,
ESV.
Our
personal relationship with Jesus allows us to freely share that
which He has given us. Give up what you cannot keep for the gift
you cannot loose. Be sure to keep the first thing first. That is
salvation through the blood of Jesus.
I
send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is
willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
Is Jesus knocking at your door? Are you ready to answer God’s call? If the answer is yes; today is the day of your salvation! There Is No God?
Today's Feast

“4
even
to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I
have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.”
Isaiah
46:4,
English
Standard Version (ESV).
Dear Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue
the Feast reading Joshua, Chapter
6;
“The
siege of Jericho. (1-5)
The city is compassed. (6-16)
Jericho is taken, Rahab and her family are saved. (17-27)”
-
Matthew
Henry Concise.
The
populace of
Jericho were
foolish, their hearts hardened to their destruction; thus
is the
case of all them
who are
against the God .
“2
And the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have given Jericho into
your hand, with its king and mighty men of valor.”
Joshua
6:2,
ESV. Our
God has declared all who deny him are fools;
“1
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are
corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.”
Psalm
14:1,
ESV. It's
simple, they deny God because they love sin;
“19
And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and
people loved the darkness rather than the light because their
works were evil.”
John
3:19,
ESV. Now
God doesn't want anyone to die in their sin. So we need to let
them know Jesus loves and died for them;
“9
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count
slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should
perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
2
Peter 3:9,
ESV. Then
if they still resist the light we need to move on; because there
are many who will accept Jesus and repent:
“11
And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to
you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a
testimony against them.””
Mark
6:11,
ESV. There
are many who are ready to hear the Word; so
let’s keep the first thing first. That is salvation through the
blood of Jesus.
I
send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. If the Lord Is
willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
