Christmas With a Capital “C” 2015!

Today’s Feast

Dec. 25, 2015 – II Samuel 11

Christmas With a Capital “C” 2015!

Today in our Christian nation we chose to celebrate Christmas! That is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus that we choose to observe.  Praying for peace and goodwill to all people!  Thanking God for sending Jesus to set us who believe in God’s only Son free. – Amen!

For to us a child is born,
    to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 11; “David's adultery. (1-5) He tries to conceal his crime. (6-13) Uriah murdered. (14-27)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David looks out on his kingdom with worldly eyes, this leads to the sin of adultery. He tries to conceal his sin even trying to make a fool of Uriah to cover his crime. When that fails David has Uriah murdered. “26 When the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she lamented over her husband. 27 And when the mourning was over, David sent and brought her to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.2 Samuel 11:26-27, ESV. David’s sin pulled him away from God. As we saw in this chapter a glimpse of the problems living in sin can cause. I call sin a spiritual cancer and there is no hope without Jesus.
We thank God for the gift of salvation; we should resist this cancer called sin, drawing on our faith in God for the strength to avoid sin. This is why we should keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,Colossians 1:9, ESV. Keep praying for each other, salvation for every man and that God’s will is done on Earth.
If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information;  admenu.com/calling.htm .

Christmas Eve 2015!

Today’s Feast

Dec. 24, 2015 – II Samuel 10

Christmas Eve 2015!

Today in our Christian nation we chose to celebrate Christmas Eve! That is this evening prior to the birth of Jesus that we choose to observe.  Praying for peace and goodwill to all people!  Thanking God for sending Jesus to set us who believe in God’s only Son free. – Amen!

And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. Luke 2:16-20, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 10; “David's messengers ill-treated by Hanun. (1-5) The Ammonites defeated. (6-14) The Syrians defeated. (15-19)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David sends his messengers to Hanun, because his father dealt loyally with Israel. Hanun had David’s messengers beards shaved and half their garments cut off, to shame them. The Ammonites no being scared of the Israelite army hired Syrians to defend them. God’s people defeated the Syrians. “18 And the Syrians fled before Israel, and David killed of the Syrians the men of 700 chariots, and 40,000 horsemen, and wounded Shobach the commander of their army, so that he died there. 19 And when all the kings who were servants of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with Israel and became subject to them. So the Syrians were afraid to save the Ammonites anymore.2 Samuel 10:18-19, ESV. David’s army won the battles neither because of their numbers nor their might, they won because they served and had faith in the only God. A nation that trust’s in God will always be safe from the world.  Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Have a Blessed Christmas Eve., If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

As A Christian Nation?

Today’s Feast

2sam
Dec. 23, 2015 – II Samuel 9

As A Christian Nation?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:11-14, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 9; “David sends for Mephibosheth. (1-8) And provides for him. (9-13)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David out of loyalty to Jonathan and his father Saul sends for Mephibosheth. And provides for Jonathan’s son Mephibosheth, David vows to take care of him from this time on. Once again when enemies array themselves against David, God delivers his enemies into his hands; “15 But when the Syrians saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they gathered themselves together. 16 And Hadadezer sent and brought out the Syrians who were beyond the Euphrates. They came to Helam, with Shobach the commander of the army of Hadadezer at their head. 17 And when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together and crossed the Jordan and came to Helam. The Syrians arrayed themselves against David and fought with him. 18 And the Syrians fled before Israel, and David killed of the Syrians the men of 700 chariots, and 40,000 horsemen, and wounded Shobach the commander of their army, so that he died there. 19 And when all the kings who were servants of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with Israel and became subject to them. So the Syrians were afraid to save the Ammonites anymore.” 2 Samuel 8:15-19, ESV. Like David we as a nation, should align ourselves with God. Tuning from the sin of a few who refuse to honor our God. Then our nation offering to serve His purposes, would be healed, God would once again be our protector. As a Christian Nation we need to truly “trust in God”; 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.2 Chronicles 7:14, ESV. Keep sharing Jesus; there is no other way by which men can be saved.  Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Do We Pray For Our Leaders?

Today’s Feast

2sam
Dec. 22, 2015 – II Samuel 8

Do We Pray For Our Leaders?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:8-11, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in 2nd Samuel Chapter 8; “David subdues the Philistines, the Moabites, and the Syrians. (1-8) The spoil dedicated. (9-14) David's government and officers. (15-18) ” - Matthew Henry Concise.

David defeated the Philistine, the Moabites, and David also defeated Hadadezer the Syrians. The spoil is dedicated to the Lord. David’s wisely appoints government officials, officers and priests. “15 So David reigned over all Israel. And David administered justice and equity to all his people. 16Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army, and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder, 17 and Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests, and Seraiah was secretary, 18 and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites, and David’s sons were priests.2 Samuel 8:15-18, ESV. As of late I have fallen into the trap of complaining about our leaders.  I’m asking God and you in Jesus name to forgive me! Instead of complaining about our leaders we should be praying for them.  Look at the way David served his citizens here; let’s pray that God will impress this kind of wisdom on our leaders. We thank God for our salvation, without Jesus our righteousness is like filthy rags. Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.Isaiah 1:18, ESV. Keep sharing Jesus, there is no other way by which men can be saved. If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
