Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 10 . In
the Feast today we see the suffering of the people who disobey God. What
seemed good at the time that their trespasses took place now brings the
people to their knees! “1 While Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping
and casting himself down before the house of God, a very great assembly of
men, women, and children, gathered to him out of Israel, for the people wept
bitterly. 2 And Shecaniah the son of Jehiel, of the sons of Elam, addressed
Ezra: “We have broken faith with our God and have married foreign women from
the peoples of the land, but even now there is hope for Israel in spite of
this. 3 Therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all these
wives and their children, according to the counsel of my lord and of those
who tremble at the commandment of our God, and let it be done according to
the Law. 4 Arise, for it is your task, and we are with you; be strong and do
it.” 5 Then Ezra arose and made the leading priests and Levites and all
Israel take an oath that they would do as had been said. So they took the
oath.” Ezra
10:1-5, English Standard Version (ESV). In hind sight it is
easy to see the pain that sin causes. “5 May the God of endurance and
encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in
accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with
one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans
15:5-6, ESV. If we want to live according to the will of God, we
need to hold any and all decisions up to God’s Word. When we make well
informed decisions (according to God’s Word) we bring glory and honor to our
Lord Jesus. When we bring glory and honor to Jesus, we live in
harmony enjoying the fruit of Christian living. If the Lord is willing I will
send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 9. God’s
people suffer for not obeying God. They took wives and husbands
from people who worshipped false gods and idols. “13 And after all that has come
upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, seeing that you, our God,
have punished us less than our iniquities deserved and have given us such a remnant
as this, 14 shall we break your commandments again and intermarry
with the peoples who practice these abominations? Would you not be angry with
us until you consumed us, so that there should be no remnant, nor
any to escape? 15 O Lord, the God of Israel, you
are just, for we are left a remnant that has escaped, as it is today.
Behold, we are before you in our guilt, for none can stand before
you because of this.”” Ezra
9:13-15, English Standard Version (ESV). God had instructed
the people not to mingle with idolaters. Here we see the state of sinners who
have turned their back on God and have now allowed the sins of their spouses
to come between them and their God. This remnant is standing
before God confessing their sins. They are standing before God with no
defense for their actions. Saints we stand before God with no
defense for our sinful life. Because we are truly repentant and
accepting Jesus’ sacrifice for our sin we are justified by Jesus. We
should never fall back into sin by marrying outside of our faith. “14 Do not be unequally yoked with
unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what
fellowship has light with darkness?” 2
Corinthians 6:14, ESV. That is the point of today’s
Feast. Light cannot dwell with darkness. The darkness
will flee from before the light. The only way to make a lighted
room dark is to remove the light. The only way a saint can live in
harmony with a sinner is to turn their back on Jesus! If the Lord is willing I will send and post
the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 8 . Today
we read about Ezra’s companions. Ezra beseeches God for His
blessings. The gold and silver are a freewill offering to the LORD God, given
to the priests. Ezra and those who had come from captivity, arrive at
Jerusalem; “35 At that time those who
had come from captivity, the returned exiles, offered burnt offerings to the
God of Israel, twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams,
seventy-seven lambs, and as a sin offering twelve male goats. All this was a
burnt offering to the Lord. 36 They also delivered
the king's commissions to the king's satraps and to the governors
of the province Beyond the River, and they aided the people and the house of
God.” Ezra
8:35-36, English Standard Version (ESV). We are like those who
traveled with Ezra who were delivered from captivity. Until Jesus
delivered us we were captives to sin. God saved us from our own sin! Now
we are free to praise Jesus for our salvation. “10 For God is not unjust so
as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name
in serving the saints, as you still do.” Hebrews
6:10 ESV. We gladly share the love of Jesus with all persons. We
go praising God the father, God the son and the Holy Spirit, for delivering
us from the eternal wages of sin. We give all the glory to God! Thank
You Lord, Amen!
If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 7. Ezra
thanked God for two things:
1.
1. For
his directive: If our hearts appear good, or if the hearts of others seem
good, God put it there, praise him; it is God that works in us, that makes us
do that which is good.
2.
2. For
his encouragement: God’s mercy is extended to him. Ezra was a resolute
man, this is not from his own heart, and it is God’s mercy that delivered it.
When we are enabled to do good for God and those around us, we must give all
the glory to God.
“27 Blessed be the Lord, the
God of our fathers, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the
king, to beautify the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem, 28 and
who extended to me his steadfast love before the king and his counselors, and
before all the king's mighty officers. I took courage, for the hand of the Lord my
God was on me, and I gathered leading men from Israel to go up with me.” Ezra
7:27-28, English Standard Version (ESV). People may thank us
for doing what is right and good. We must be quick to let them
know that God is the author of any good works by us. Give all
glory to God! “33 Oh, the depth of the riches
and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and
how inscrutable his ways!” Romans
11:33, ESV. Let’s follow Jesus is with joy and thanksgiving, giving
all the glory to God! If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast
again tomorrow.

you hear that small voice calling; sinner com home? Do you want to

Today’s
Verse; “3 For by the grace given to me I
say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought
to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of
faith that God has assigned.” Romans 12:3, ESV.

Brother Mike

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 6 . God
touched the heart of King Darius. He told the ones who hindered rebuilding
that the people of God were working under his authority. Hence the
work was finished and the people were joyful and they celebrated the
Passover. “20 For the priests and the
Levites had purified themselves together; all of them were clean. So
they slaughtered the Passover lamb for all the returned exiles, for their
fellow priests, and for themselves. 21 It was eaten by
the people of Israel who had returned from exile, and also by every one who
had joined them and separated himself from the uncleanness of the
peoples of the land to worship the Lord, the God of Israel.” Ezra
6:20-21, English Standard Version (ESV). People and
governments may do things that make us unhappy. Don’t fret over
those things instead pray about and for them. They may hinder our
happiness but they can’t hinder our joy! Our happiness depends on
happenstance while our Joy is in Jesus. “17 The Lord your God is in your midst, a
mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will
quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” Zephaniah
3:17, ESV. Our service to Jesus is with joy. We gladly and
joyfully serve Jesus obeying God’s holy instructions. If the Lord is willing
I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 5 . Here
we see that God has mercy on his people. God sent a prophet to let
his people know it was time to rebuild the temple. Satan is
quick to influence someone to try and stop the people of the Lord from any
good work. “ 3 At the same time Tattenai the governor of
the province Beyond the River and Shethar-bozenai and their associates came
to them and spoke to them thus: “Who gave you a decree to build this
house and to finish this structure?” 4 They also
asked them this: “What are the names of the men who are building this
building?”” Ezra
5:3-4, English Standard Version (ESV). The enemy is quick to
confront the saints and ask them by whose authority they are proceeding with
good works. It is somewhat intimidating when somebody says; “What
is your name?” “19 and what is the immeasurable
greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working
of his great might 20 that he worked in Christ when
he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the
heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and
authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named,
not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he
put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to
the church,” Ephesians 1:19-22,
ESV. This s the answer saints; Jesus is the head of the church! Those
that have accepted Jesus are the body of the Church. Therefore
when you are doing a good work and someone says; “By whose authority are you
doing this?” You can simply lovingly reply; “Jesus”! If the Lord
is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in Ezra 4 . This
is where we see Satan waging war against God’s people. Whenever
the Lord’s people aspire to good works the enemy attempts to stop them. “23 Then, when the copy of King
Artaxerxes' letter was read before Rehum and Shimshai the scribe and their
associates, they went in haste to the Jews at Jerusalem and by force and
power made them cease. 24 Then the work on the house of
God that is in Jerusalem stopped, and it ceased until the second year of the
reign of Darius king of Persia.” Ezra
4:23-24, English Standard Version (ESV). Saint you can be
assured that Jesus is always going to be victorious over Satan. We
need to read God’s Word and pray to be ready when the enemy attacks. The
Holy Spirit will bring God’s Word to our remembrance when we need it. “15 Do your best to present
yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed,
rightly handling the word of truth.” 2
Timothy 2:15, ESV. This is one of the reasons we try to read
every word in God’s Word. We need to nourish ourselves in the Word
of God to stand in the battle. “11 Put on the whole armor of
God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.” Ephesians
6:11, ESV. Take your stand with Jesus! Please share
the Feast with others so that they can be prepared to stand against the
enemy. If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward
you, not wishing that any should perish, butthat all should reach
repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9, ESV.
