The Feast
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast beginning in 1st Samuel - Chapter 9, Do you think the people were doing the “right thing” asking God for a King? “Fed up, all the elders of Israel got together and confronted Samuel at Ramah. They presented their case: .Look, you're an old man, and your sons aren't following in your footsteps. Here's what we want you to do: Appoint a king to rule us, just like everybody else.'" 1 Samuel 8:4-5. The truth is we can see in retrospect that this was folly, a bad idea. They had God to guide and rule them, what more could they want. They wanted a worldly leader like the governments around them. We need to guard against prayer requests that would make us more worldly. If our Lord is willing I'll send and post the Feast tomorrow.
