Wed, Apr 13, 2011 Jeremiah 18 Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully feast in Jeremiah 18. God’s word in today’s Feast makes me think of what happens to religious people; “11 “Now therefore say to the people of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, ‘This is what the LORD says: Look! I am preparing a disaster for you and devising a plan against you. So turn from your evil ways, each one of you, and reform your ways and your actions.’ 12 But they will reply, ‘It’s no use. We will continue with our own plans; we will all follow the stubbornness of our evil hearts.’”Jeremiah 18:11-12 (New International Version). We should grasp the ides of; “first things first.” If we become religious doing all good works but leave out Salvation and that a gift received from God, by the payment of Jesus for sin, and truly repenting of our sin. Then we’re just religious approaching God on our terms, we are as lost as the people of Jerusalem in the previous verse.
