The Qualifications
for Elders
Book of Titus Overview;
“This epistle chiefly contains directions to Titus concerning the elders of
the Church, and the manner in which he should give instruction; and the
latter part tells him to urge obedience to magistrates, to enforce good
works, avoid foolish questions, and shun heresies. The instructions the
apostle gave are all plain and simple. The Christian religion was not formed
to answer worldly or selfish views, but it is the wisdom of God and the power
of God.” Matthew-henry-concise
concordance
“3 For
the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to
their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for
themselves teachers;” 2 Timothy 4:3 New
King James Version (NKJV).

Word daily. We spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every
word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue
our Feast reading the book of Titus Chapter 1. The letter
of Paul to Titus begins with a greeting (see Titus 1:1-4) to raise up hope and
faith. Paul lays out the qualifications for the Elders (see Titus 1:5-9) to oversee the believers. Paul warns us against those who try
to hold believers (See Titus 1:10-15) to the law rather than faith in Jesus; “15 To the pure
all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is
pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to
know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and
disqualified for every good work.“ Titus 1:15-16 NKJV. We
should avoid those who (see 1 Timothy 4:1-5) depend strictly
on works rather than faith. This world we now live in can only be
saved by faith in God and the power of prayer and repentance; “14 if
My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek
My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and
will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14 NKJV. Therefore when we hear someone complaining about the
state of our world explain to them that God has given us a plan (see Ephesians 4:15) wherefore it can be
saved. If the Lord is willing I will write
and post the Feast tomorrow
Can you hear Jesus calling
you? Do you want what Jesus has
planned for you? Do you want to find
true happiness, peace and purpose in your life? If the answer is yes to any of these

Today’s Verse; “And you, fathers, do not provoke your
children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the
Lord.” Ephesians 6:4 NKJV.
God, Bless You,
