A People Without Love?

Today’s Feast Mar. 16, 2014 – Isaiah 18 A People Without Love? Share the Feast in God’s Word; join us as we share God’s Word daily as Easter, Sunday April 20th approaches! clic aquí en español * “13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.” 2 Samuel 7:13 Isaiah Chapter 18, “God's care for his people; and the increase of the church”  -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Isaiah Chapter 18.   Isaiah is speaking of a nation marked by foresight, governed by God’s word (see Isaiah 25:10) she will be attacked, but not destroyed. Because she is a refuge for God’s people (see Isaiah 25:10) God’s hand will be on her hills. “ 7 At that time tribute will be brought to the Lord of hosts from a people tall and smooth, from a people feared near and far, a nation mighty and conquering,    whose land the rivers divide, to Mount Zion, the place of the name of the Lord of hosts. ” Isaiah 18:7  English Standard Versions (ESV).   Here among God’s people (see 2 Samuel 7:13) God will dwell forever.  The people who call Jesus Lord will be humble and loving. “Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,” Colossians 3:12  ESV.   The people that repented from their sinful ways to follow Jesus will strive to share the good news (see 1 Corinthians 13:1-2) with the same love that God showed them.
