Whom to consult? – 1 Chronicles 10       Feb 20, 2013 - 1 Chronicles 10 Return to Admenu Home Dear  Saints, Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 10.   King Saul was blessed by our God.  We see here that he departed from God.  He was seeking conformation from other sources.   “13 So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance. 14 He did not seek guidance from the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.”1 Chronicles 10:13-14, English Standard Version (ESV).  The Saints that love God with all their heart wouldn’t even consult a comic book astrologist.  If we need anything including information about where our life is going we seek God in prayer.  “Whoever covers an offense seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates close friends.” Proverbs 17:9 ESV.  If we turn to God to keep us, we don’t need gossip. Let’s keep the first thing first.  That is salvation through the blood of the Lamb.  Trust God for direction, and follow His precepts for correction. In God we trust and seek direction.
