The Best of the Feast
What Did
Jesus Do?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We spend
about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in
approximately three years.
“17 For God did not send his Son into the world to
condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
John
3:17, English Standard
Version (ESV).

Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully, continue to Feast in 2 Chronicles 20. Today
we see the end of Jehoshaphat’s reign. He started out seeking God
moving in the direction of God’s kingdom. In the end he turned his
back on God. “35 After this Jehoshaphat king of Judah joined with Ahaziah
king of Israel, who acted wickedly. 36 He joined him in
building ships to go to Tarshish, and they built the ships in Ezion-geber. 37 Then
Eliezer the son of Dodavahu of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat,
saying, “Because you have joined with Ahaziah, the Lord will
destroy what you have made.” And the ships were wrecked and were not able to
go to Tarshish.” 2
Chronicles 20:35-37, ESV. God knows our strength and our weak nesses. He
promised that we would be given burdens that are not too heavy (see Matthew
11:27-29). “24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might
die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been
healed.” 1
Peter 2:24, ESV. Jesus removed the heaviest burden from us when he
gave his life for our sins. He overcame the harshest penalty (of
death) when he arose from the grave. I know of no other god that
did what Jesus did when he died for you and I. So be of good
cheer, do not grieve the Holy Spirit and keep Jesus at the forefront of your
life. If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast
again tomorrow.
