Dressed to Serve Exodus 39 & 40

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 Exo39-40

l The Feast Daily Edition l
Mar 8-9_2012 Exodus 39-40
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Exodus 39 and Exodus 40 for Friday. Our Feast is about the instructions God gave Moses about the Tabernacle and the clothing for the Priests following God’s directives. God had Moses prepare everything so that His people, priests, Aaron and his sons could serve and worship Him; “12 Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and shall wash them with water13 and put on Aaron the holy garments. And you shall anoint him and consecrate him, that he may serve me as priest. 14 You shall bring his sons also and put coats on them, 15 and anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may serve me as priests. And their anointing shall admit them to a perpetual priesthood throughout their generations.” Exodus 40:12-15, (ESV - English Standard Version). There is no guessing where God works he still is exacting in what we do in preparation to serve Him. We find an example of how we are to dress here in 1 Thessalonians 5:7-9; “7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,” There is more about preparing yourself for service. We saw in Exodus God was very precise about the design of the breastplate.;”8 He made the breastpiece, in skilled work, in the style of the ephod, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet yarns, and fine twined linen. 9 It was square. They made the breastpiece doubled, a span its length and a span its breadth when doubled. 10 And they set in it four rows of stones. A row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle was the first row;11 and the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond;12 and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were enclosed in settings of gold filigree...” Exodus 39:8-13, (ESV - English Standard Version). He also tells us how to build that “faith” on that breastplate of faith.; “17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.“ Romans 10:17 (ESV - English Standard Version). This is why we keep the first thing first, salvation in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. If your interested in preparing for Jesus service I would suggest reading all of Ephesians chapter six. “Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” Ephisians 6:13 ESV. I’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html. please write mlitew8@gmail.com. Do you know that you are made in the image of God? You are an eternal being, where you spend eternity depends on your relationship with God? To be sure turn from sin just say this simple prayer; “Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Savior.“ If you said this prayer inviting Jesus into your heart. Now turning from sin, and seek fellowship just as we do. We worship and fellowship in a Church (group of believers) that strive to measures up to God’s Word. You need a Bible believing body of believers (church) to worship and pray with. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent (turn from sin) and accept Jesus. If you have trouble finding a good bible believing church in your neighborhood send me an email and I’ll see if I can help; mlitew8@yahoo.com or if you want a pastor email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com

[God of All Comfort] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4ESV
