a happy newyearbanner

Dec. 31- Jan 1, 2011, Ecc. 7-9

Dear Saints,

This weekend we prayerfully enjoy our feast in Ecclesiastes 7 and start a new year in. Ecclesiastes 8 and Ecclesiastes 9.   Determine to bring the New Year in with Peace and enjoy all year with contentment.  I know that if I’m carrying a grudge against anyone I can’t be content.  Do we know how to be content; “14 There is something else meaningless that occurs on earth: the righteous who get what the wicked deserve, and the wicked who get what the righteous deserve. This too, I say, is meaningless. 15 So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.” - Ecclesiastes 8:14-15, (New International Version ©2010).   Carry this scripture that we Feast on into the New Year it is better than words on a page; “1 So I reflected on all this and concluded that the righteous and the wise and what they do are in God’s hands, but no one knows whether love or hate awaits them.” Ecclesiastes 9:1 (New International Version, ©2010).  If I am wrong or mistaken please let me know in an email or call me: 1- (760) 592-9251 let your light shine. Let’s continue to feast together so our life will reflect our hearts. If God is willing, we will love him with a happy heart, and I will post and send the Feast Monday

“This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” - Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 - (New International Version ©2010).

Thu, Dec. 30, 2010, Ecc. 6

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully enjoy our feast in Ecclesiastes 6.  Do we know how to be content; “1 I have seen another evil under the sun, and it weighs heavily on mankind: 2 God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire, but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them, and strangers enjoy them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil.” - Ecclesiastes 6:1-2, (New International Version ©2010).   The remedy is probably found in the New Testament or at least the peace to deal with calamity that is meaningless; “4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7 (New International Version, ©2010).  If I am wrong or mistaken please let me know in an email or call me: 1- (760) 592-9251 let your light shine. Let’s continue to feast together so our life will reflect our hearts. If God is willing, we will love him with a happy heart, and I will post and send the Feast Tomorrow.

Wed, Dec. 29, 2010, Ecclesiastes 5

a glob & bird News banner

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully enjoy our feast in Ecclesiastes 5. Let your yes be yes and your no be no!  If someone asks you to pray for them and you say of course or yes I will.

You as a believer are bound to fulfill your vow; “4 When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. 5 It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it. 6 Do not let your mouth lead you into sin. And do not protest to the temple messenger, “My vow was a mistake.” Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands? 7 Much dreaming and many words are meaningless. Therefore fear God.” - Ecclesiastes 5:4-7, (New International Version ©2010).   There is no shame in saying no because you’re not making a vow that needs fulfillment.  However if someone asks you for prayer because they really need it and that person thinks you have a good relationship with God; “You’d be setting a bad witness if you refused to ask God in earnest.”  Now if you think that what they are asking for is foolish or would in some way cause them pain you could answer; “I’ll pray and ask that God’s will be done for you.”  That becomes a vow you need to talk to Jesus about in prayer.  If I am wrong or mistaken please let me know in an email or call me: 1- (760) 592-9251 let your light shine. Let’s continue to feast together so our life will reflect our hearts. If God is willing, we will love him with a happy heart, and I will post and send the Feast Tomorrow.

“[Jesus Comforts His Disciples] “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” - John 14:1-3- biiblegateway.com, (New International Version ©2010).

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully enjoy our feast in Ecclesiastes 4. Well here it is brothers and sisters;”One is the loneliest number that you’ll ever see; “9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: 10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.  But how can one keep warm alone?

12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, (New International Version ©2010).   There is the proof in the pudding; “one is the loneliest number that you’ll ever know!”If I am wrong or mistaken please let me know in an email or call me: 1- (760) 592-9251 let your light shine. Fri, Dec. 24, 2010- 1st Tim 6,Ecc 1-2

Merry Christmas!

BRDEARTweekndGOLDBAN

Dear Saints,

This weekend we prayerfully finish our feast in 1st Timothy 6. Then we move onto the book of Ecclesiastes Chapters 1 and 2.  I will take this opportunity to say to you and your families have a Blessed Christmas.  Be generous and kind and share our savior with all souls; “6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” - 1st Timothy 6:6-10 (New International Version ©2010).  tell the little ones to relax now the “Good List” is closed.  God left us here to share the gospel! If I am wrong or mistaken please let me know in an email or call me: 1- (760) 592-9251 Let your light shine. Let’s continue to feast so our life will reflect our hearts. If God is willing, we will love him with a happy heart, and I will post and send the Feast Monday.

“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.” - Luke 2:16-20- Luke 2:11- (New International Version ©2010)

Ecclesiastes overview:

“The name of this book signifies "The Preacher." The wisdom of God here preaches to us, speaking by Solomon, who it is evident was the author. At the close of his life, being made sensible of his sin and folly, he recorded here his experience for the benefit of others, as the book of his repentance; and he pronounced all earthly good to be "vanity and vexation of spirit." It convinces us of the vanity of the world, and that it cannot make us happy; of the vileness of sin, and its certain tendency to make us miserable. It shows that no created good can satisfy the soul, and that happiness is to be found in God alone; and this doctrine must, under the blessed Spirit's teaching, lead the heart to Christ Jesus.”

We pray that you will accept Jesus as your savior? If the answer is yes you need fellowship. If you want to correspond with an ordained minister, Pastor Glen would love to hear from you mailto:evangelistglen@yahoo.com
