Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in Esther 4; The Jews wailed about the danger and Mordecai went to the gate in sackcloth to gain Esther’s ear.  Esther knows the consequences if she approaches the king for the Jews; “15 Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, 16 “Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.” 17 Mordecai then went away and did everything as Esther had ordered him.”  Esther 4:15-17, English Standard Version (ESV).  Do you fear consequences of sharing the love of God with your neighbors or even your own family?  When we don’t witness to win people for Jesus what are the consequences for them?  If we don’t raise our children to fear God are we doing them a favor?  “13 As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.Psalm 103:13, ESV.  If we go on without telling others the consequences of rejecting Jesus or we don’t raise our children in the Lord what then?  The truth is if we ignore the salvation of others we are guilty of their death.  Saints, it is your duty to share Jesus with your family and neighbors.  Only when you do what is good and right will you be happy.  If the Lord is willing I will write and post the Feast tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in Esther 3; Mordecai did not bow down or pay homage to Haman so he seeks to destroy the Jews. Haman tricks the king into endorsing a decree against the Jews;  “13 Letters were sent by couriers to all the king’s provinces with instruction to destroy, to kill, and to annihilate all Jews, young and old, women and children, in one day, the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar, and to plunder their goods. 14 A copy of the document was to be issued as a decree in every province by proclamation to all the peoples to be ready for that day.”  Esther 3:13-14 English Standard Version (ESV).  I know my God is great and wonderful all things work in favor of his people. “The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.” Proverbs 23:24, ESV.  We continue our journey in the Feast of God’s Word, knowing whatever we do in Jesus name will benefit our children.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in Esther 2; God is watching out for his chosen people scattered about the country so Esther is chosen as queen.   Mordecai hears men plotting against the king; “22 And this came to the knowledge of Mordecai, and he told it to Queen Esther, and Esther told the king in the name of Mordecai. 23 When the affair was investigated and found to be so, the men were both hanged on the gallows. And it was recorded in the book of the chronicles in the presence of the king.”  Esther 2:22-23, English Standard Version (ESV).  Just like Mordecai and Esther wherever on Earth we wind up whatever or station, God watches over us.  Remember we are in the world and not of the world.  “20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,Philippians 3:20, ESV.  Wherever we are we can share our love of God, faith in Jesus and the peace of the Holy Spirit.  We are the citizens of heaven! If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in Esther 1; King Ahasuerus hosts a lavish feast for all his officials and servants. The kings wife Vashti refuses to to attend the feast. The king decrees that Vashti is never again to come before him and she is to be replaced; “21 This advice pleased the king and the princes, and the king did as Memucan proposed. 22 He sent letters to all the royal provinces, to every province in its own script and to every people in its own language, that every man be master in his own household and speak according to the language of his people.  Esther 1:21-22, English Standard Version (ESV).  As Christians would we tear our marriage up when our spouse disagrees with us?  Certainly  not Jesus tells us that we and our spouse are one flesh.  God never wanted man and woman to divorce.  So what should we do and how should we act when we disagree with our spouse?“[Hearing and Doing the Word] Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;James 1:19 ESV.  The enemy is the devil and God’s Word tells us how to handle our anguish; “Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.” Proverbs 19:11 ESV.  This is just one more reason we Feast together.  If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in II Corinthians 12 & 13.  What a beautiful affection Paul has expressed for the Corinthians as he departs.  “14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.II Corinthians 13:14, ESV.  This is the way I would like to greet everyone I know with at the end of the day. Unfortunately not everybody I know has accepted Jesus. Not only would they all not appreciate the sentiment, some would laugh or make fun of god.  Why do you think this is? “[The Law of the Lord Is Perfect] [To the choirmaster. 1A Psalm of David.] The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. 2Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. Psalm 19:1-2, ESV.  The Law of the Lord Is Perfect so let me ask again why would they laugh or make Jesus the brunt of their joke?  Satan has deadened our senses to God’s Word with modern media.  Most television shows and advertisements promote promiscuity; “The “Happy Crowd” drinks this brand of alcohol. Beautiful people stay here when they come to gamble.  If you don’t look sexually perfect and happy just buy one of these and it will be alright!”   Saint’s these are just a few of the problems or traps people who don’t want to hear about Jesus are lured into.  I can tell you why! People whose deeds are evil love darkness. (see John 3:19).  Their hearts are continually evil. (see Ecclesiastes 9:3)  What does this mean for us? We need to pray and read God’s word every day.  Let our lights shine and carry the gospel as far and long as we are able.  If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in II Corinthians 11.  I don’t think that people are much different today than they were when Paul wrote to the Corinthians.  We have many temptations that would keep us from reading the word.  Though the people are the same, the temptations are magnified.  We have many false teachers today going door to door.  “12 And what I am doing I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.” II Corinthians 11:12-15, ESV.  Our job as ambassadors for Jesus is harder than ever.   I know even some of my friends which portray themselves as Christian, will spend their summer at the river drinking.  It’s no wonder if you watch television you’ll see that; all the “FUN” people fornicate and/or get drunk.  We must listen to the whole Word of God in order not to be fooled.  Remember these prophets; “17 for it was said to me by the word of the Lord, ‘You shall neither eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by the way that you came.’”18 And he said to him, “I also am a prophet as you are, and an angel spoke to me by the word of the Lord, saying, ‘Bring him back with you into your house that he may eat bread and drink water.’” But he lied to him. 19 So he went back with him and ate bread in his house and drank water.” 1 Kings 13:17-19, ESV.  The true prophet of God was fooled by another so called prophet of god. There are many people who claim to be men of God.  If you let them tell you what God’s Word says, you only know what they tell you.  If you read the whole Word of God, then you will know what Jesus says.  If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in II Corinthians 10.  Here we see Paul telling the Saints where his authority is from.  He states that he is an able, faithful minister of Jesus. Paul seeks God’s glory, and to be sanctioned by Him. He says “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”; “18 For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.” II Corinthians 10:18, ESV.  We must present Jesus as loving and just; remembering that our battle is not with the sinner.  It is with the sin; “25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,27 and give no opportunity to the devil.” Ephesians 4:25-27, ESV.  Lovingly present the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We should be truthful when sharing God’s Word, condemning sin.   If the persons we are witnessing to are offended; they are offended by God and not by us.  If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in II Corinthians 9.  Here we see Paul telling the Saints The reason for sending Titus to collect their donations. He reminds the Saints to be cheerful in their contributions.  “8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written, “He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”” II Corinthians 9:8-9, ESV.  When you give to help those that have need of help we are reminded, that the earth and everything in it belongs to God.  “4 You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. 5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine;” Exodus 19:4-5, ESV.  When God requires anything from us He always provides the resources or funds. “5 It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice.” Psalm 112:5, ESV. If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in                             II Corinthians 8.  Here we see Paul telling the Saints to take care of the needs for all Saints. In closing he reminds the Saints to care for and use the same grace Jesus used with them, when dealing with Titus and others.  “23 As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker for your benefit. And as for our brothers, they are messengers[a] of the churches, the glory of Christ. 24 So give proof before the churches of your love and of our boasting about you to these men.” II Corinthians 8:23-24, ESV.  I think we should think of how Jesus dealt with us when we are dealing with people who offend us. “19 God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments.” Habakkuk 3:19, ESV.  When we are trying to deal with others in any matter we should remember the grace and love with which Jesus deals with us. If the Lord is willing I will send and post the Feast again tomorrow.
