Proof of our Lord Jesus Christ – Acts 13

Dec 8_2012 Acts 13

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read, Acts 13. As the Lord lifts up laborers the mission of Paul and Barnabas set’s off. The Magician Elymas the sorcerer, opposes them. Using the Old Testament and speaking from the book of Psalm, Paul ministers at Antioch. He preaches to the Gentiles, and is persecuted by the Jews. “47 For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
“‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”
48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed. 49 And the word of the Lord was spreading throughout the whole region. 50 But the Jews incited the devout women of high standing and the leading men of the city, stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and drove them out of their district. 51 But they shook off the dust from their feet against them and went to Iconium. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.” Acts 13:47-52, English Standard Version (ESV). Even those that start out against you in your ministry God can turn into your allies. Jesus is not willing that any should parish, even your enemies can be turned by the Holy Spirit. “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6 ESV. We have the proof of our Lord Jesus Christ, in his resurrection. Please join us in keeping the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. We can do everything through Jesus, there are no limits in where His Word can take us.
