Do You Have a Light?

Today’s Feast

Oct. 27, 2015 – John 8

Do You Have a Light?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12, English Standard Version (ESV).

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in John Chapter 8; “The Pharisees and the adulteress. (1-11) Christ's discourse with the Pharisees. (12-59)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Jesus is our light and our guide, by following Jesus we never walk in darkness; 12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”John 8:12, ESV. Just as we know that our true righteousness is in Jesus; he gives us light and salt to share his love; 13 "You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. 14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.Matthew 5:13-15, ESV. If anyone asks you to; “pass the salt” or “do you have a light” you have an opportunity to share the love of Jesus. Let’s keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus.

On Sept. 13 or 14, 2012 Brother Robert Waters said in an email; “Evangelism: Self-Benefit as a Catalyst

Sharing one’s faith often is the mature believer’s Achilles’ heel. As we grow in grace in all other areas of the faith, we tend to lag behind in preaching the Gospel to unbelievers in our workplaces and neighborhoods. Excuses for our lack of obedience in this area abound.
While we see the immediate benefits that sharing our faith has toward unbelievers, we do not see the immediate benefits that sharing our faith has toward ourselves. Yet the benefits toward our own walks with the Lord should move us to share... ...Sharing Makes You Faithful to the Great
Commission—to Giving Gospel to the lost
The most obvious benefit to ourselves is that we are obedient to the Great Commission (Mt. 28:19-20), and thus to the Lord. This comes with the added benefit of the promised presence of God himself: “I will be with you always, even until the end of the age.”
Share your faith with others. You will bless them with the offer of the Lord’s love, grace, mercy, joy, and peace through the preaching of the Gospel. In doing so, the sharing will bless you too. Robert Waters

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything. Click this link for more information; admenu.com/calling.htm .
