Enlist In God’s Army!

The Best of the Feast

Apr. 11, 2016 1 Chronicles 19
Enlist In God’s Army!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. 1 Peter 2:24, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 19; “David's wars.

2 Samuel 8 ) safety of sinners consists in submitting to the Lord, seeking peace with him, and becoming his servants. Let us assist each other in a good cause; but let us fear lest, while made instruments of good to others, we should come short of salvation, through unbelief and sin.” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 19.   King David was blessed by God whenever he went into war. Again King David consulted God before he did anything. David trusted God, he had faith that God was true to his word.  David fought in agreement with God; “18 And the Syrians fled before Israel, and David killed of the Syrians the men of 7,000 chariots and 40,000 foot soldiers, and put to death also Shophach the commander of their army. 19 And when the servants of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with David and became subject to him. So the Syrians were not willing to save the Ammonites anymore.1 Chronicles 19:18-19, ESV.  God never changes!  Our relationship with Jesus includes serving in God’s Holy army.  Keep this in mind; “12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.Ephesians 6:12, ESV.  When we enlist in God’s army we join in a heavenly war against God’s enemy.  Accept Jesus and turn from sin you will be sealed by the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit gives us a peace that surpasses worldly understanding. “25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you.  26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.Psalm 73:25-26, ESV. If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

  God Bless You,
Brother Mike
