Let Us Bless Our Lord!

Oct. 9, 2013 – Psalms 67

Psalms Chapter 67 - “A prayer for the enlargement of Christ's kingdom.”  - Matthew Henry Concise

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast reading Psalms 67. David’s prayer is for God to be blessed because God’s kingdom is blessed.   “6 The earth has yielded its increase;
    God, our God, shall bless us.
7 God shall bless us;
    let all the ends of the earth fear him!”   Psalm 67:6-7 - English Standard Version (ESV).  Why is David praying for God to be blessed? I’m sure in part it was because he took a vow to bless God;1 I will bless the Lord at all times;
    his praise shall continually be in my mouth.Psalm 34:1 ESV. There is also this; “40 He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the very stones would cry out.”Luke 19:40 ESV.  As for me and my house we will bless God’s holy name through our Lord Jesus!
