(1-3) The troubles before the destruction of Jerusalem. (4-28) Christ foretells other signs and miseries, to the end of the world. (29-41) Exhortations to watchfulness. (42-51)“ - Matthew Henry Concise. In this Scripture is we see Jesus teaching about the coming kingdom. This is the reason you and I have the Feast; “44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. 45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?“ Matthew 24:44-45 NKJV. If we just read about God but don’t know him we couldn’t live in the new kingdom. By the same token keeping the first thing first. That’s salvation the gift of God; we get by faith (Romans 10:17) from the Word of God. “1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 – NKJV.
