Today’s Feast
Jan. 19, 2016 Acts 11
Get Past Religion And Tradition!

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

[ The Golden Rule ] “So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in Acts Chapter 11; “Peter's defence. (1-18) The success of the gospel at Antioch. (19-24) The disciples named Christians, Relief sent to Judea. (25-30)” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Peter had to defend himself from those that would put tradition or works in front of God’s Grace. The reason for the success of the gospel at Antioch was it was Gods will, His grace. There in Antioch is where the disciples were first called Christians. Acting as true believers they sent relief to Judea. “27 Now in these days prophets came down from Jerusalem to Antioch. 28 And one of them named Agabus stood up and foretold by the Spirit that there would be a great famine over all the world (this took place in the days of Claudius). 29 So the disciples determined, every one according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea. 30 And they did so, sending it to the elders by the hand of Barnabas and Saul.Acts 11:27-30, ESV. In the beginning of this chapter, the first Christians wanted to live by religious tradition rather than share God’s grace. Once the believers got past their religion and tradition, God’s grace spread like fire. Jesus was accepted as the Messiah by Jew’s and gentiles alike. “I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.John 10:14-15, ESV. We the sinners in this world is who Jesus laid down his life for. Road blocks are for catching law breakers! Jesus is for saving all sinners from their transgressions! Keep the first thing first, that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus laid down his life for all people, those who will accept God’s grace are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Jesus cleans his fish after he catches them!.  If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow

You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html.  Prayer request or Praise reports can be sent to brother Mike at;  mike@admenu.com

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.  Click this link for more information; admenu.com/calling.htm .
