“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7 - New King James Version (NKJV)

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of 3rd John Chapter 1;
This epistle is addressed to a converted Gentile. The scope is to commend his stedfastness in the faith, and his hospitality, especially to the ministers of Christ.
The apostle commends Gaius for piety and hospitality. (1-8) Cautions him against siding with Diotrephes, who was a turbulent spirit; but recommends Demetrius as a man of excellent character.(9-12) He hopes soon to see Gaius. (13,14)- Matthew Henry Concise
The apostle John encourages Gaius to continue to be hospitable with his coworkers, (see 3 John 1:1-8 ) and to honor them with the truth.  Though the temper and spirit of Diotrephes was prideful (see 3 John 1:9-12) he urges Gaius to continue what is good and right with God.  John has more to say but he would like to share it in person; “13 I had many things to write, but I do not wish to write to you with pen and ink; 14 but I hope to see you shortly, and we shall speak face to face. Peace to you. Our friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.3 John 1:13-14 NKJV.  We are encouraged to imitate Jesus (see 3 John 1:11) by doing what is good and right in every instance.  16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV.  What is written in the Word of God (see Romans 15:4) is there to give us hope and encouragement in the scriptures.   All scripture written in God’s Word (see 2 Peter 1:20-21) is given to us by the Holy Spirit.
Do you want to trust God? If the answer is yes; today is the day of your salvation!  Don’t wait another minute to leave, change or quit anything (see Revelation 3:20) Jesus is at knocking at your door this minute.  He wants you to come just as you are!   Do you hear Jesus calling you?  Will you answer Him today? Do you want to find true happiness, peace and purpose in your life?  If the answer is yes to any of these questions please click the following link; admenu.com/calling.htm
