Idolaters Punished

Today’s Feast
July 23, 2014-Ezekiel 9
Idolaters Punished

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily.  We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.  Gods Not Dead!

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Ezekiel Chapter 9; “A vision denoting the destruction of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the departure of the symbol of the Divine presence.“ - Matthew Henry Concise
God calls the executioners and one in white linen, with a writing case (see Ezekiel 9:1-4) as they pass through the city; the man in white linen is to mark the foreheads of those who hate the sin against God.  To show how much the Lord hates sin the slaughter begins in the sanctuary with those closest to God (see Ezekiel 9:5-11) committed the abominable sins. Those which were marked (were spared) by the one in white linen just as those who weren’t (were killed) all were justly and rightfully recompensed for their deeds by God;  “10 As for me, my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity; I will bring their deeds upon their heads." 11 And behold, the man clothed in linen, with the writing case at his waist, brought back word, saying, "I have done as you commanded me."Ezekiel 8:17-18 English Standard Version (ESV).  Pay close attention and examine yourself Saint; either you are on fire for Jesus (see Romans 1:18-31 ) or you are cold Jesus will not accept lukewarm Christians; 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:10-12 ESV. Again I’m saying; “Stay the course keep praying as you go (see Colossians 4:2-4) that the Holy Spirit will bring the Word to your memory as you need it.  Don’t collapse and become an abomination by supporting the sin of those who sin against God; (see Romans 16:25) instead stand up for the gospel of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
