8th Year 12-13 Edition 3 – 2nd Sam. 10
l The Feast l
Nov 11_2012 II Sam 10
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 10. David sends his messengers to Hanun, because his father dealt loyally with Israel. Hanun had David's messengers beards shaved and half their garments cut off, to shame them. The Ammonites no being scared of the Israelite army hired Syrians to defend them. God's people defeated the Syrians. “18And the Syrians fled before Israel, and David killed of the Syrians the men of 700 chariots, and 40,000 horsemen, and wounded Shobach the commander of their army, so that he died there. 19And when all the kings who were servants of Hadadezer saw that they had been defeated by Israel, they made peace with Israel and became subject to them. So the Syrians were afraid to save the Ammonites anymore.” 2 Samuel 10:18-19, English Standard Version (ESV). David's army won the battles not because of their numbers nor their might, they won because they served and had faith in the only God. A nation that trust's in God will always be safe from the world.
We thank God for our salvation, we want his will to be done in our land, governments, communities and homes. This is why we should keep the first thing first ,that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “[Do Not Love the World] Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.” 1 John 2:15-16 ESV. Pray that our leaders get the message to put our God first in every decision they make.

“God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend. For to the snow he says, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the downpour, his mighty downpour.” Job 37:5-6 ESV.
