Dear  Saints,

Today we prayerfully, continue to Feast in a double portion in 2 Chronicles 16-17.  in chapter 16 we see the end of King Asa’s reign and the results of his lack of faith in God.  In chapter 17 his son Jehoshaphat is off to a good start with God.  3 The Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the earlier ways of his father David. He did not seek the Baals, 4 but sought the God of his father and walked in his commandments, and not according to the practices of Israel. 5 Therefore the Lord established the kingdom in his hand. And all Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, and he had great riches and honor. 6 His heart was courageous in the ways of the Lord. And furthermore, he took the high places and the Asherim out of Judah.” 2 Chronicles 17:3-6 English Standard Version (ESV). Those of us, who have a good start with our faith in the Lord Jesus, should keep faith to the end.  For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.” Romans 5:10 ESV.  Jesus died for our sin while we were still sinning.  Because he pulled us up out of our worldly ways, we should keep faith in Jesus until God calls us home.    As long as we hold onto our faith we will never fall.  29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”” Matthew 14:29-30 ESV.  Keep your eyes on Jesus, not the condition of the world around us.  Look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 ESV.
