National Days of Prayer Day 37 of 40
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 2. David and all his family go to Hebron where David is made king. The commander of Saul’s Army, Abner makes Ishbosheth king! Battle such as a revolution, breaks out between Abner’s men and those of Joab. Asahel is pierced through the stomach with the butt of his spear by Abner is slain. Both parties retreat. (18-24). If Men would consider the result of their actions before they act they might avoid sin. Excluding God from government or any area of our life will cause bitterness in the end! Asahel’s funeral is here mentioned. “32And they took up Asahel and buried him in the tomb of his father, which was at Bethlehem. And Joab and his men marched all night, and the day broke upon them at Hebron.” 2 Samuel 2
English Standard Version (ESV). Saints, let us continue together praising, praying and feasting on every word in God’s Holy Word everyday, until the great and glorious day when Jesus comes again.
40 Days of Prayer day 37, Prayer for our nation by, - Pastor Glen Aycock
40 Days of Prayer- Day 37 (by Stephanie Aycock)
Today’s Devotional was shared by Stephanie Aycock:
For several years I have been wondering why Christians have tolerated this movement to take God out of everything. I thought “there must be enough Christians who, if they united in opposition to such things, could put us back on the pathway to being “One nation under God.” There are so many denominations and even versions within denominations of churches, they seem so separate. And then someone so wisely proposed 40 Days of Prayer leading up to this very important Presidential Election. Praise God, we have been united in prayer.
This 40 Days of Prayer and the incredibly brave sermons from our pastor, ministers and clergy have caused many us to unite behind a movement to just say NO:
NO to attempts to make our United States of America a non-Christian nation.
NO to obliterating the seeds of life that the Lord has planted.
NO to same sex relationships and marriages.
NO to making public prayer illegal.
NO to our nation’s failure to support and protect God’s precious Israel.
-
NO to a President who is most likely neither a Christian nor a citizen.
NO to calling evil good.
In the past 30 something days, I have heard friends and relatives speaking their minds about many of the ungodly things we have all tolerated as “political correctness”. I have heard many regular folks, and famous people speak publicly about their Christian beliefs. Many of these people had never uttered such things out loud in the entire time I have known them. These 40 days of prayer have caused many of us to be more willing to unite in prayer for our nation. It has encouraged us to talk with others about our concerns for where our country is headed, and to praise God out loud for the strength, joy and love he has given each of us throughout our lives.
My prayer:
Heavenly Father, I accept that only Your Holy Will shall determine the outcome of this election. I know that you love us and I trust that you have a plan for us. And I am encouraged that so many of us have experienced the power of praying together. Even if the election doesn’t turn out the way I voted, I will know that the outcome is part of your plan. Maybe Lord, You just want to see how long and how much we will tolerate. I pray, Father, that you will give us the wisdom to make choices and have expectations which are always consistent with your Holy Word, and the courage to speak with others about those things. Show me, Father, those opportunities to unite Christians to use our voices to praise your name and live by your Word. God Bless Our United States of America, still One Nation Under God.
Keep praying each day.
God Bless our great country”

Each of us needed Jesus to make our lives, whole and sin free! Let’s keep God in charge of every area of our lives. Please keep the first thing first that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. “[Submission to the Authorities] Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” Romans 13:1 ESV.
