7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Ruth 3
l The Feast l

Sep 30_2012 Ruth 3
National Days of Prayer Day 3 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of Ruth 3. As we open the third chapter in Ruth we see, The directions given to Ruth by Naomi. Boaz acknowledges the duty of a kinsman and redeemer. Ruth's return to her mother-in-law. Here Naomi exposes an example of the value of waiting on the Lord. “16 And when she came to her mother-in-law, she said, “How did you fare, my daughter?” Then she told her all that the man had done for her, 17 saying, “These six measures of barley he gave to me, for he said to me, ‘You must not go back empty-handed to your mother-in-law.’” 18 She replied, “Wait, my daughter, until you learn how the matter turns out, for the man will not rest but will settle the matter today.”” Ruth 3:16-18, English Standard Version (ESV). If we are faithful to wait on the Lord he will lead us in his ways.

40 Days of Prayer # 3 Devotional “Prayer for america” Here is the message as it was Adapted from Desperate for Change: 40 Days of Prayer for America by David Butts
“40 Days of Prayer # 3 Prayer for America

This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.’” –Zechariah 7:9

As a schoolboy in the late 1950s and early 1960s, I remember starting every school day by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. The constant repetition allows the words of the Pledge to be recalled effortlessly today, half a century later.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”Have you considered the fact that a nation committed to justice for all is a nation that God can bless? God is passionate about justice because it is in accordance with His nature to be just in all His dealings. When nations base their laws and institutions on principles of justice for all, the God of justice is pleased.

Of course, this means that the contrary is true as well. When injustice creeps in, it brings with it the displeasure of God. God especially seems to look out for the welfare of those whom society overlooks. . . the poor, the less-privileged, the stranger, and the outcast. The nation that wants the blessing of God will ensure justice for all!
Prayer Points

Thank the Lord that He is a God of justice and shows no favoritism.
Thank God for a nation that proclaims itself a land of justice for all.
Pray for our judicial system and lawmakers, that justice for all, tempered by mercy and compassion, will guide our nation.

My Prayer

I thank You, Lord, that You are perfectly just in all Your ways. You deal with us impartially, imparting justice while showing mercy and compassion. Help us to be like You in this way.

I’m grateful, Lord, that the United States has built justice into its very foundation. Forgive us when we have failed to carry out what we say we believe in. Help us as a nation to offer justice to all and not to discriminate in the way that justice is administered. I pray for the judicial system of this nation. Restore godliness to the courts of our land. May those who make our laws do so with a deep commitment to justice for all. In the name of Jesus, we come against any spirit of privilege or special interests that would mar the true administration of justice. We cry out with the prophet Amos, “Let justice roll on like a river” (Amos 5:24). May a river of justice and righteousness sweep across our nation!

Day 2 of 40 – Ruth 2

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Ruth 2
l The Feast l

Sep 29_2012 Ruth 2
National Days of Prayer Day 2 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of Ruth 2. As we open the second chapter in Ruth we see, Hannah's song of thanksgiving first. The wickedness of Eli's sons, and Samuel's ministry. The prophecy against Eli's family. There is an example of people watching you as your lite shines. “10 Then she fell on her face, bowing to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?” 11 But Boaz answered her, “All that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband has been fully told to me, and how you left your father and mother and your native land and came to a people that you did not know before. 12 The Lord repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!”” Ruth 2:10-12, English Standard Version (ESV). It is always desirable to conduct ourselves as if Jesus is watching.

40 Days of Prayer # 2 Devotional “Cry out to God”
Submitted by Pastor Glen Aycock

Text to Consider: II Samuel 22:7:
In my distress I called upon Jehovah, And I cried to my God; And he heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry came into his ears. America is in distress. We fought for freedom from tyranny and many American’s gave their life that we could be free to worship our God as we choose. Satan is trying to destroy this freedom. He wants to smother our right to pray or mention the name of God in public meetings. Why does he do this? The answer is because he trembles at the name of Jesus and wants our children to grow up without mention to his name. We have allowed thousands on thousands of babies to be aborted. (Which is a polite word for killed), Advocates of this or advocating that we murder children in the womb. (115,000 unborn babies killed every day according to the U.S statistics.) Egypt tried to kill off the children in the early childhood days of Moses and Caesar killed all the male children that were two years or younger for the purpose of wiping out King Jesus Christ. The “politically correct crowd call this a right to decide whether they can murder the unborn child. Jesus declared that it was better for one to be tied to a rock and cast into the sea rather than offend one of the little ones. Are we going to be content for the future leaders of tomorrow have false allegiance to a government that votes Christ out and upholds that the Bible is just a document written by men and is out of date. Internet published an update on the Bible, maintaining a fragment of papyrus was found that has Jesus referring to his wife. This document was written 400 years after Christ was crucified. If our children believe the God is outdated and His word is not relevant and cannot be read in our schools or government meetings then what hope do we have to continue to be a nation that is blessed? I challenge you to pray for a return to God.

Prayer suggestion: Dear Jesus we cry out to you this day. Please give us men, women, and children that will honor your word and not tolerate the efforts of Satan the enemy to intimidate us. Thank you for hearing our prayer. “Send Revival to us and let it begin in me.” In Jesus Name, Amen!

I will be posting it on the blogs as follows for all forty days of prayer to make it easy for us to share with others;

National Pray Day 1 + Ruth 1

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Ruth 1-3
l The Feast l

Sep 28_2012 Ruth 1
National Days of Prayer Day 1 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of Ruth 1. As we open the book of Ruth tragedy strikes, Elimelech and his sons die in the land of Moab. Naomi returns home, she encourages her daughter-in-laws to seek new lives. Orpah takes her advice and stays behind, but Ruth clings to her Mother in Law and goes with Naomi. They come to Bethlehem and Naomi is so wrought with the death she calls herself Mara. Naomi translates as "pleasant," or "amiable;", while Mara translates as, "bitter," or "bitterness." “20 She said to them, “Do not call me Naomi; call me Mara, for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went away full, and the Lord has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi, when the Lord has testified against me and the Almighty has brought calamity upon me?”” Ruth 1:20-21, English Standard Version (ESV). Naomi as bitter as she was over the loss of her husband and sons still put her Daughter-in-laws first.

Book Of Ruth Overview;
We find in this book excellent examples of faith, piety, patience, humility, industry, and loving-kindness, in the common events of life. Also we see the special care which God's providence take of our smallest concerns, encouraging us to full trust therein. We may view this book as a beautiful, because natural representation of human life; as a curious detail of important facts; and as a part of the plan of redemption.” - Matthew Henry Concise.

This is where we will change pace for the next 40 day's Join in the National Days of Prayer. Here is an excerpt from the message as I received it from Pastor Glen Aycock;
Dear Brother Mike:
Greetings in the name of our precious Redeemer. I wanted to ask you to join me in 40 days of prayer for our nation. I will write a devotional each day and perhaps you could post it on the site if you feel like it. Please ask Mary Ann and Mike to join me. I am including a devotional for today which is the first day. Many churches are participating in this around the United States. Billy Graham twittered me today and urged that I recruit cells to join in with prayer for a revival in our nation...” - “I will send an attachment with today’s devotional. Pastor Glen.”

Look! The Master Comes….

Scripture to guide our prayer: Jude 1.

"Look! The Master comes with thousands of holy angels
15 ¶ to bring judgment against them all, convicting each person of every defiling act of shameless sacrilege, of every dirty word they have spewed of their pious filth." 16 These are the "grumpers," the bellyachers, grabbing for the biggest piece of the pie, talking big, saying anything they think will get them ahead. 17 But remember, dear friends, that the apostles of our Master, Jesus Christ, told us this would happen: 18 "In the last days there will be people who don’t take these things seriously anymore. They’ll treat them like a joke, and make a religion of their own whims and lusts." 19 These are the ones who split churches, thinking only of themselves. There’s nothing to them, no sign of the Spirit! 20 But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 staying right at the center of God’s love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life! 22 Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith. 23 Go after those who take the wrong way. Be tender with sinners, but not soft on sin. The sin itself stinks to high heaven. 24 And now to him who can keep you on your feet, standing tall in his bright presence, fresh and celebrating— 25 to our one God, our only Savior, through Jesus Christ, our Master, be glory, majesty, strength, and rule before all time, and now, and to the end of all time.”

As we pray for our nation let us lean toward the coming of the Master. Our nation is on a collision course and is dangerously close to being destroyed because of ungodliness. Allegiance to God that made this nation great has been eliminated. We must turn back and return to taking a stand for Godliness. This nation will not thrive if we pass laws that go against God’s ageless instruction and command. Let every Christian pray for forgiveness for not standing tall and refusing to accept sin as a politically correct stand. We should urge with one great united voice , to keep the faith because the master is coming.

Suggested ingredients of prayer:

Dear God we ask on bended knee that you would search our hearts to see if there be sin within us and convict us to the action of repenting. Let each of us personally be representatives to our nation, of God obeying believers. Give us courage to stand tall and be vocal against endorsement of sin by a congress that is not focused on God and righteousness. Our prayer is for strength and courage to stand and be counted as a friend of God. Please renew our faith this very day and bring Godliness back to our nation.
In Jesus Name we pray, Amen

Enough! John 21

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jhn 21
l The Feast l

Sep 27_2012 John 21

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in .John 21 Our Lord Jesus has Christ appears to his disciples. His discuses Peters relationship with Him. Jesus makes a declaration concerning John. The conclusion makes a profound statement about all that has been revealed in the book of John. “25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” John 21:25, English Standard Version (ESV). What do you think that this ending means to us the believers? I think it may mean that the Lord has revealed enough so that any who hears it should believe in Jesus. If he wrote about enough of Jesus miracles to fill the whole earth, those that are not convinced that Jesus is Lord wouldn't change their mind. Sometimes we need to realize when to be content with what the Lord has given us. It's as if to say there is no more that can be said or done to win our soul. What Christ has done for us should be sufficient more just isn't justified. “8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 English Standard Version (ESV). With this in mind we may want to look at our position in God's life and our part in the Church and ask, what can I do Lord. Pray read God's Word and seek his purpose for your life. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8-9 ESV. Continue to prayerfully read God's Word everyday. That's how we continue to grow in love, faith and grace. And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD” Deuteronomy 8:3 ESV. Let's continue to Feast together and keep the first thing first! Where is it written? John 20

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3 – Jhn 20
l The Feast l

Sep 26_2012 John 20

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in John 20. Our Lord Jesus has arisen overcoming death and sin. He gave the Disciples and those that believe because of them direction. These things were all done so that we would believe. “30 Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:30-31, English Standard Version (ESV). Does our belief mean that we should attend a bible believing church on Sunday? As long as we do that everyone will know we are good “Christians” able to look down on those who are not members of our church, until Jesus comes again. Knowing this as a matter of fact makes the following verse a silly exercise; “10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:10-12 English Standard Version (ESV). God tells us to be strong as we stand with Him against the enemies of Jesus. Hmm? That seems a little silly doesn't it? Doesn't God's Word say that his people should be fat and flourishing? We really are righteous, which surely means we can bag on those who don't belong to our denomination! 13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” Psalm 92:13-15 King James Version. If any of the things I just presented makes perfect sense, you better prayerfully read God's Word. In context God's word makes perfect sense. Be very careful where you get instruction from. When somebody says this, hold it up to the whole Word of God, make sure it doesn't mean that. There are many false doctrines and teachers preaching “God's words” today. “13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 ESV. With these things in mind we see how important it is to read God's word daily. Hence our Feast together. Jesus paid the whole price for our sin. There is nothing left for us to pay so, keep the first thing first! That is salvation through the blood of the lamb, Jesus. “For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” Hebrews 10:30-31 ESV. Join us in sharing His love. Keep joining us at http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html for praise and prayer. I am not educated or a theologian so If I am wrong or mistaken please email me mlitew8@yahoo.com. I love prayerful correction and suggestions. The Feast

Wed, September 26, 2012, John 20, - “The sepulchre found to be empty. (1-10) Christ appears to Mary. (11-18) He appears to the disciples. (19-25) The unbelief of Thomas. (26-29) Conclusion. (30,31)“ – Matthew Henry Concise

Never never get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.

God Bless you,
Brother Mike
