It’s Alright To Decide What’s Good Or Bad

(5-10)” - Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu - Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Psalms.  By reading Psalms 146 .  The Psalmist begins by praising God, and saying not to trust even royalty.  Blessed is the man who trusts God. “10 The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations.  Praise the Lord!”   Psalm 146:10  - English Standard Version (ESV).   I want to ask a simple question here; how do you even decide who to befriend?  After all God’s Word tells us not to judge others.  Actually the answer is pretty simple; if they are not and will not follow Jesus you discern that you shouldn’t hang with them (see Proverbs 4:14).  You should wholly trust God alone, not men.  That’s why you are to hold their works up to the Word (see Proverbs 17:17).   You must be able to decide between what is good and what is bad if you are to followJesus.  That decision is not judgment!  It is deciding between Good and Bad.  “48 When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 13:48-50 ESV.   If you have sense enough to trust the Word of God you won’t be part of those separated from the righteous. Jesus we thank you for keeping us! Hallelujah!
