Who do you hang with?

Who do you hang with?

June 6, 2013 – II Corinthians 6

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue the Feast in II Corinthians 6.  For what reason do we believe God has instructed us to separate ourselves from unbelievers?  17 Therefore go out from their midst,
    and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch no unclean thing;
    then I will welcome you,
18 and I will be a father to you,
    and you shall be sons and daughters to me,
says the Lord Almighty.”” II Corinthians 6:17-18 ESV.  Sometimes it’s hard to decide when to stop fellowshipping with some people.  However  think about this; If they don’t repent and ask Jesus into their lives they are going to hell. With this in mind if God’s Word offends them; they are offended by God, not you. That offense may be what actually makes them examine their life, and accept Jesus. “10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” 1 John 5:11-12 ESV.  We have Jesus, we feel his love, and the Holy Spirit reminds and guides us.  God gave His Son and His Word for our instruction.  So when you’re figuring out who to hang with think about this; “If you hang out at the barbershop long enough you will get a haircut.” – Unknown Author.  I guess faith really does come by reading the Word of God!
