Today’s Feast
Jan. 25,
2016 – Acts 17
The Best Life?
Please join
with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day
praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is
honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever
is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of
praise, think about these things.” Philippians 4:8, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in
Acts Chapter 17; “Paul at Thessalonica. (1-9) The
noble conduct of the Bereans. (10-15) Paul
at Athens. (16-21) He
preaches there.(22-31) The
scornful conduct of the Athenians. (32-34)”
- Matthew Henry
Concise.
Paul preaching and teaching at Thessalonica.
The Bereans are more serious than those at Thessalonica. Paul is always
preaching and teaching about Jesus, Athens is no exception. He preaches there
using their religious superstition to teach them about Jesus. The scornful
conduct of the Athenians. “32 Now when they heard of the resurrection
of the dead, some mocked. But others said, “We will hear you again about
this.” 33 So Paul went out from their midst. 34 But some men joined him and
believed, among whom also were Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named
Damaris and others with them.” Acts
17:32-34, ESV. Wherever
Paul went he was telling people to believe in Jesus. Why would he do that? I’d say that the love
of Jesus and the forgiveness of sin are the best part of life. “But
when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman,
born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might
receive adoption as sons.” Galatians
4:4-5, ESV. Jesus gives every believer the best life they can have. That
includes our adoption into the family of God. Keep the first thing first,
that is salvation paid for, in full by our Lord Jesus Christ. How can anyone
accept this gift without sharing it? If the Lord is willing I’ll send and
post the Feast again tomorrow
You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html. Prayer request or Praise reports can be
sent to brother Mike at; mike@admenu.com
Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed
his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will
come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and
hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father
only.” Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are
building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to
change anything. Click this link for

God Bless You,
Brother Mike
