Nov 4_2012 II Sam 3
National Days of Prayer Day 38 of 40

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully Feast in the book of 2 Samuel 3. During war the between the house of Saul and the house of David's family increases and he grew stronger in power. Abner visits David at Hebron to gather information to aid in revolting against David. Joab Murders Abner and David mourns for him. 33 And the king lamented for Abner, saying,

Should Abner die as a fool dies?
34 Your hands were not bound;
your feet were not fettered;
as one falls before the wicked
you have fallen.”” 2 Samuel 3:33-34 English Standard Version (ESV). No matter where we are or who is over us, we can always thank God for His joy.

From Psalm 62 the Lord speaks to us in very certain terms.

Truly my soul waits upon Him, from Him comes my salvation, He is my defence; in Him I shall not be greatly moved. God tells my soul to wait only upon God: for my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Now pause and calmly consider this. (selah).

God has spoken once, twice have I heard this: that power belongs unto God. Also unto thee O Lord belongeth Mercy; for thou renderest to every man according to his work.

The truth and power of this Psalm is that in God we have it all. Worry has no place here, running to and fro has no place here, doubt has no place here. We can rest peacefully in what God has said and that is sufficient.
- Enough said!

Jesus is our Lord, He sqid that he would never leave us! I'm sure God’s grace is sufficient. Keep the first thing first that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.; “who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6 ESV.
