Jan. 8, 2014 – Proverbs 10 The Proverbs of Solomon Jesus is the Wisdom so often spoken of in Proverbs! Proverbs 10  “Through the whole of the Proverbs, we are to look for somewhat beyond the first sense the passage may imply, and this we shall find to be Christ. He is the Wisdom so often spoken of in this book.” -  Matthew Henry Concise Return to Admenu - Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in the book of Proverbs Chapter 10. As we read Proverbs 10 again we see the contrasts between seeking wisdom as opposed to folly!   “31 The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off. 32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked, what is perverse.” Proverbs 10:31-32 (English Standard Version) ESV.  When you and I seek to share Jesus with the sinner do we attack them for their sin or do we offer the love of Jesus (see Romans 12:9).  I think that when people are caught up in sin they must think Jesus is waiting to drop a hammer on their head.  The way some Christians present salvation to them sort of confirms that view.   Remembering that we are sinners whom Jesus saved we should find a better way to offer the love of Jesus (see Proverbs 18:19).   It is good to hate the sin but remember Jesus came to redeem the sinner.  “14 Seek good, and not evil, that you may live; and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you, as you have said.  15 Hate evil, and love good, and establish justice in the gate; it may be that the Lord, the God of hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.” Amos 5:14-15  ESV.  We share a loving God with the world; remember he is not willing that any should parish. When we share Jesus we are sharing salvation and love.
