Today’s Feast Give All Credit To?  Mar. 3, 2016 – 2 Kings 5 clic aquí en español Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years. “8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. ”  Isaiah 55:8-9, English Standard Version (ESV) Return to Admenu – Admenu’s Alternate Site Dear Saints, Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 2 Kings, Chapter 5; “Naaman's leprosy. (1-8) The cure of it. (9-14) Elisha refuses Naaman's gifts. (15-19) Gehazi's covetousness and falsehood. (20-27) ” - Matthew Henry Concise. Today we are prayerfully reading, 2 Kings 5.  The lesson learned secondly today is; never try to take credit or reward for God’s or another man’s work. Interestingly enough a small act of greed gave Gehazi leprosy in this chapter.  “25 He went in and stood before his master, and Elisha said to him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” And he said, “Your servant went nowhere.” 26 But he said to him, “Did not my heart go when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Was it a time to accept money and garments, olive orchards and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male servants and female servants? 27 Therefore the leprosy of Naaman shall cling to you and to your descendants forever.” So he went out from his presence a leper, like snow.” 2 Kings 5:25-27, ESV.   When God does a work through you must be sure God gets all the glory.  The credit for God or anyone else’s work is not ours to take.  The first miracle was the curing of leprosy.  Elisha who delivered the directions wouldn’t go to Naaman.  He wanted God to get all the glory for healing Naaman.  “7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” Galatians 6:7-8, ESV.  You can stand tall and let your light shine as a servant of the one true God. Please keep the first thing first. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus.
