Today’s Feast
Jan. 20,
2016 – Acts 12
Give It All
To God!
Please join
with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day
praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
“2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of
various kinds, 3 for you know that the
testing of your faith produces steadfastness.” James 1:2-3, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear Saints,
Thank you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue our Feast in
Acts Chapter 12; “The martyrdom of James, and the imprisonment of Peter. (1-5) He
is delivered from prison by an angel. (6-11)Peter
departs, Herod's rage. (12-19) The
death of Herod. (20-25)”
- Matthew Henry Concise.
The martyrdom of James, Christ told him that he should drink of
the cup that he was to drink of, and be baptized with the baptism that he was
to be baptized with. The imprisonment of Peter. An angel of God releases
Peter from prison. Herod searched for Peter but he escaped Herod’s rage. The
death of Herod; “20
Now Herod was angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon, and they came to him
with one accord, and having persuaded Blastus, the king’s chamberlain, they
asked for peace, because their country depended on the king’s country for
food. 21 On an appointed day Herod put on his royal robes, took his seat upon
the throne, and delivered an oration to them. 22 And the people were
shouting, “The voice of a god, and not of a man!” 23 Immediately an angel of
the Lord struck him down, because he did not give God the glory, and he was
eaten by worms and breathed his last.
24
But the word of God increased and multiplied.
25
And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had completed their
service, bringing with them John, whose other name was Mark.”
Acts
12:22-25, ESV. There is a good lesson to be learned here, never take
credit for God’s work. If you read the scripture and understand what it
said, when you share it remember to give credit to the Holy Spirit. “Jesus said to her, “I am the
resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall
he live,” John
11:25, ESV. We are saved and brought to good purpose by God. Give Him the
credit for what your salvation accomplishes, keeping the first thing first,
that is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. The father sent Jesus to die
for our sin. For you and I are unable to pay for our own trespasses. We must
give God all the credit for the good works our salvation produces. If the Lord is
willing I’ll send and post the Feast again tomorrow
You’ll find the praise and prayer list at; admenu.com/prayer.html. Prayer request or Praise reports can be
sent to brother Mike at; mike@admenu.com
Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed
his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will
come to get every Saint; “36 “But concerning that day and
hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father
only.” Matthew 24:36, ESV. We are
building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to
change anything. Click this link for

God Bless You,
Brother Mike
