Keeping Faith! Numbers 13

7th Year 11-12 Edition 3Mar15-NUM 13 l The Feast l May 3_2012 Numbers 13 Dear Saints, This today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Numbers 13. Today’s Feast causes me some distress. God had Moses send men ahead of his people to spy out the land that God was delivering into their hand. They came back with this report; “30 But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, “Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it.” 31 Then the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are.” 32 So they brought to the people of Israel a bad report of the land that they had spied out, saying, “The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are of great height. 33 And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak, who come from the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them.”” Numbers 13:30-33, English Standard Version (ESV). Why was the report mixed? Were they lying to Moses? What was the cost to the people of God? Jesus sends out the disciples and all that except him with a job. “16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”” Matthew 28:16-20 ESV. These instructions were for all who believed until the end of the age. What happens if we make excuses about why we can’t share God’s gift? What if we don’t have confidence in Jesus? Let us keep salvation through the blood of the Lamb as issue number one. We are supposed to share God’s love with every nation and every person. “And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” 1 John 5:14-15 ESV. I think that this settles it, keep the faith! “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Romans 12:12 ESV. I send the Feast out as the Holy Spirit inspires me. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.
