Today’s FeastOct. 9, 2015 – Judges 11Watch Your Word!
Please
join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about
fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s
Word in approximately three years.
“4
You
shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his
commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold
fast to him."
Deuteronomy
13:4,
English Standard Version (ESV).
Dear
Saints,
Thank
you for joining us, as we prayerfully continue the Feast in Judges
Chapter
11;
“Jephtah
and the Gileadites. (1-11)
He attempts to make peace. (12-28)
Jephthah's vow. He vanquishes the Ammonites. (29-40)”
- Matthew
Henry Concise.
We’ve
looked at God’s love, his patience, forgiveness, and the power
of his Word. Do you know how powerful your word is? I don’t
believe in saying;”God you promised this and you have to deliver
it because I claim it!” Today we read where Jephthah’s oath
costs him his only child. “30
And Jephthah made a vow to the Lord and said, “If you will give
the Ammonites into my hand, 31 then whatever comes out from the
doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the
Ammonites shall be the Lord’s, and I will offer it up for a
burnt offering.””
Judges
11:30-31,
ESV. Do you believe that there is power in your words saint? Your
oath is just as powerful as Jephthah’s. God puts so much stock
in your word His Word tells you not to take an oath. “12
But
above
all, my brothers, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or by
any other oath, but let your “yes” be yes and your “no” be
no, so that you may not fall under condemnation.”
James
5:12,
ESV. When asked if you solemnly swear, say “I’ll affirm or
yes”. There are many examples of how powerful your word is
saint. This is a wonderful example of the power of a believers
word; “18
Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in
heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed[a] in
heaven.“
Matthew
18:18,
ESV. Keep your mind on Jesus. Watch your word and try to keep it
full of love and truth. “3
You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast,
because he trusts in you.”
Isaiah
26:3,
ESV. We should continue to keep the first thing first. That would
be salvation through the blood of Jesus.
Don’t
get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship. Our
salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus
sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and
accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “36
“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the
angels of heaven, nor the Son,[a] but the Father only.”
Matthew
24:36,
ESV. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not
wait while you try to change anything. Click
