We Were Still Sinners

Today’s Feast

Feb 6, 2015 - Genesis 44
We Were Still Sinners
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.
21 He who follows righteousness and mercy Finds life, righteousness and honor." Proverbs 21:21 New King James Version (NKJV).

Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully continue our Feast by reading the book of Genesis Chapter 44; “Joseph's policy to stay his brethren, and try their affection for Benjamin. (1-17) Judah's supplication to Joseph. (18-34) - Matthew Henry Concise

As we continue our Feast in Genesis 44, in this scripture we see Joseph first a slave to the Pharaoh. Now in charge of all the Pharaoh has, dealing with the brothers that sold him into slavery. He talked to his brothers through an interpreter so their was no reason for his brothers to recognize him. Joseph was falsely represented to his brothers. He accused his youngest brother of returning his kindness with thievery. In fact he set him up ; ”1 And he commanded the steward of his house, saying, "Fill the men's sacks with food, as much as they can carry, and put each man's money in the mouth of his sack. 2 Also put my cup, the silver cup, in the mouth of the sack of the youngest, and his grain money." So he did according to the word that Joseph had spoken.Genesis 44:1-2 NKJV. So we see Joseph gave into the flesh and sinned against his father and we were still sinners God. It doesn’t seem possible after the love and grace of our God were so richly blessed on his life. God understood what was happening; “21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.Genesis 8:21 NKJV. Remember God sent Jesus to die for us while we were still sinners. “he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said, “Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word; for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.Luke 2:28-32 NKJV.

It really is not about religion”, it is about a relationship. Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus. He will come to get every Saint; “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything; admenu.com/calling.htm
