Fleecing the flock?

The Best of the Feast

Apr. 15, 2016 1 Chronicles 23
Fleecing the flock?

Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately three years.

For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed. Romans 13:6-7, English Standard Version (ESV)

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 23; “David declares Solomon his successor. (1-23) The office of the Levites. (24-32) ” - Matthew Henry Concise.

Today we prayerfully Feast in 1 Chronicles 23.  King David prepares the people to manage in in the temple service.  “32 Thus they were to keep charge of the tent of meeting and the sanctuary, and to attend the sons of Aaron, their brothers, for the service of the house of the Lord.1 Chronicles 23, English Standard Version (ESV).  God gave David the Job of management for the temple service.  God supplied the manpower for the temple service.  Whenever God requires something he provides the means.  “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.Philippians 4:6, ESV.  When the Lord calls on you to do anything be like David, don’t get upset do everything in order.  Look to God for the means he will supply you with material things needed to do God’s will.  Wait on the Lord, God will provide.  Don’t fleece the flock; God doesn’t need your money or means.  “14 So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”Genesis 22:14, ESV.  Prayer, orderly planning and preparation is a must, faith in God is imperative.  Besides that with everything we’ve been reading have you noticed; when people endeavor to “help God” it is a mistake. Remember Abraham, Sarah and Hagar?   If the Lord is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.

  God Bless You,
Brother Mike
