When God Says No!
June
26, 2013 – Job 5
Dear Saints,
Today we prayerfully
continue our Feast in Job 5. Eliphaz feels
that Job must be sinning. Eliphaz thinks God is responsible for Job’s poor
condition. Eliphaz cautions Job to accept his plight as God's correction so his
problems will end. “26 You shall come to your grave
in ripe old age,
like a
sheaf gathered up in its season.
27 Behold, this we have searched out; it is true.
Hear,
and know it for your good.”” Job 5:26-27
English Standard Version (ESV). Sometimes we have to accept the
fact that God is saying no to our requests. Maybe God is holding out for something
better for us. Never forget God knows
our mind and we can’t begin to fathom God’s mind. “9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is
made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my
weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2
Corinthians 12:9 ESV. We
must realize that God has our best interest in mind. God could be allowing us to endure our fate
because the Lord’s grace is sufficient.
Like Paul we can learn to be content with in our circumstances. This doesn’t mean that we have to stop
asking Jesus to improve our condition. Just remember, God isn’t a genie waiting for
us to rub the lamp. Sometimes we must
realize that in our own interest God will say no!
He loves you, Jesus is calling! Do you hear
that small voice calling; sinner com home?

“Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I
cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares
the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:24 ESV.
