The
Best of the Feast
Does The End Justify The Means?
Please join with us sharing God’s Word daily. We will spend about fifteen
minutes a day praying and reading every word in God’s Word in approximately
three years.
“9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according
to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as
a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things
in heaven and things on earth.” Ephesians 1:9-10, English Standard Version (ESV)
Dear
Saints,
Today we prayerfully read our Feast in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 13; “David consults about
the ark. (1-5) The removal of the ark. (6-14)” - Matthew Henry Concise.
Today we prayerfully read the Feast in 1 Chronicles 13. King
David and all of Israel were of a single mind. They were bringing
home the ark of the covenant. They were celebrating before
God with all their might, with song and musical instruments; “9 And when they came to the threshing floor of Chidon, Uzzah put out
his hand to take hold of the ark, for the oxen stumbled. 10 And the anger of
the Lord was kindled against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he put out
his hand to the ark, and he died there before God.” 1
Chronicles 13:9-10, ESV. Uzzah was celebrating like everyone else. He was
doing the same as those around him, when he died. David was upset
with God for taking Uzzah. Now God had warned the Israelites that
they would die if they touched the ark. Even though Uzzah was
helping to bring home the ark when he touched it should God have let home
live? No! If God didn’t take Uzzah God would be a liar. Should
David have been mad at or afraid of God? I don’t think so you see
not only can’t God lie; God sees life beyond death differently than us. “22 Do they not go
astray who devise evil? Those who devise good meet steadfast love and
faithfulness.” Proverbs
14:22, ESV. Saints I must say God isn’t a liar; he is God
which means he is good through and through. We must know God never
changes! If we do well and keep the first thing first; that
is salvation through the blood of the Lamb. If we love Jesus and fear God sharing his
love with others; that is the means that justifies the end! If the Lord
is willing I will post and send the Feast again tomorrow.
God Bless You,
Brother
Mike
