Apr 11-2012 Mark 6

Dear Saints,

Today we prayerfully continue our Feast in Mark 6.  Here we see Jesus sending out the disciples in pairs.  He tells them that If anyone doesn’t receive them to shake the dust from their feet as a testimony against them.  12 So they went out and proclaimed that people should repent.13 And they cast out many demons and anointed with oil many who were sick and healed them.”  Mark 6:12-13 ESV.   Even when the possibilities dictated that they were going to be doing a lot of dust shaking they did a bang up job.  Just because they did a great job and were so successful at that time didn’t mean they would have smooth sailing always.  Look at John the Baptist; he went out in the world preparing the way for Jesus.  He was very successful and on fire for the kingdom of God.  Yet his life was taken because someone felt condemned about the word of God. “25 And she came in immediately with haste to the king and asked, saying, “I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baptist on a platter.” 26 And the king was exceedingly sorry, but because of his oaths and his guests he did not want to break his word to her.”  Mark 6:25 - 26  ESV.   No matter what you go through in Saintly Service, there is no guarantee that everything will be sun shine and summer days for us.  Just like everyone else we need to be aware that we are in the world.  ”16  “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.17 Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues,” Matthew 10:16-17 ESV.   Jesus warned the disciples that the possibilities warranted examination.  So why did they continue in Saintly Service?  They had faith that allowed them to see a larger reward than what the world could offer. “19  “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, 20  but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21 ESV.   Be blessed in Saintly Service to God with a loving and peaceful spirit.  Then your heart will be with your treasure.  “He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.” 1 Peter 2:24 ESV. I ’m not educated nor am I a Theologian so if I’m mistaken in the Feast or you want something added or changed on the prayer list http://www.admenu.com/am/praise.html.  please write mlitew8@gmail.comTo correspond with a pastor email Pastor Glen; evangelistglen@yahoo.com If the Lord is willing I’ll send and post the Feast tomorrow as we continue to prepare for Saintly Service.

Don’t get caught up in “religion”, it is about a relationship.  Our salvation depends completely on God! We are the Saints that Jesus sacrificed his life to pay in full for our sin, when we repent and accept Jesus.  He will come to get every Saint; “…But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” Matthew 24:36. We are building our relationship with Jesus right now, do not wait while you try to change anything.

know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.” Galatians 2:15 ESV.
